ARE YOU READY TO LOSE WEIGHT, TONE, GET IN SHAPE??

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A COACH THAT WANTS TO HELP YOU EVERY DAY?

ARE YOU READY TO COMPLETE THIS CHALLENGE AND SEE RESULTS??

JOIN THIS GROUP FOR DAILY MOTIVATION!!!

Hey all, my name is Jessica Diehl. I recently completed INSANITY, and I couldn't have been happier with my results. I want to share these results and help others achieve their goals as well with Insanity, or any other beach body program.

TIPS FOR SUCCESS:

1. Join this group and post DAILY! On your first post, introduce yourself, tell us what workout program you are doing, and the goals that you have set out to accomplish. Then, post after you workout EVERY DAY. This helps to keep you accountable. Let us know that you worked out- it will help motivate others too.

2. TRACK YOUR PROGRESS. Take measurements!!!! Measure your waist, hips, legs, chest, and biceps. T A K E P I C T U R E S! This one is so so so important. You have to take a before photo. You don't have to share it (though I highly encourage you to do so). Then take weekly progress pics, you will literally see yourself change right before your eyes. Also I suggest weighing yourself only ONCE before and ONCE after the program. People tend to get so wrapped up in that number that if it doesn't change they lose motivation.

3. Nutrition. This is also important. Know what your target caloric needs are. The Insanity nutrition guide is top notch in my book. IT definitely helps you get an idea of how and what you should be eating. AND IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE. Eating 500 calories of a baked good IS DIFFERENT (read: worse) than eating 500 calories of healthy chicken and vegetables. If you really want to see results, you have to make sound nutrition a part of your plan. I ate baked goods at EVERY MEAL for years! When I started following the nutrition guide-eating every few hours- eating lean meats/fruits/veggies and cutting out processed foods- my cravings STOPPED. So if I can do it, YOU CAN DO IT.

4.Supplements: I highly highly recommend two supplements: Shakeology and the P90X Results and Recovery formula.
- Shakeology: meal replacement shake loaded with vitamins, minerals, and protein. Tons of recipes too. And super delicious!
- Results and Recovery formula: I drink a half serving after every Insanity workout. It helps with muscle recovery so that your body does not break down muscle to fuel the workouts. It is extremely important! If you don't want to spend money on the R&R, chocolate milk is a good substitute!

5. Ready to start? First, post on this thread your committment to the team. Second, add me as a buddy. Third, COMMIT COMMIT COMMIT. I want to still be hearing from everyone at the end of these 60 days.

My name is Crispin and I'll be doing Insanity for the next 60 days. I am completely committed to this workout. I have owned Insanity for a few years but never really made a commitment. I'll be posting pictures tomorrow and will keep the group updated.

I started yesterday with the fit test, Holy Crap!! I was light headed for an hour after the test, but once that settled, I felt amazing. I was really sore this morning.

I started the program after I weighted myself last week and hit 240 lbs, I am in the worst shape of my life. I broke my ribs 8 weeks ago and during my recovery (and Christmas), I put on 26lbs. I need to change, I need to shed the weight.

The eating restrictions is going to be one of my greatest challenges.

Look forward to working with you guys during our journey.

Diegof09-
Working out after a day of work can be tough, but your right- as long as you are mentally prepared you can tackle it! And you will feel so good once your done!

Jonah-
Welcome to the group!! I hope Shaun T is ready for you, lol!!

Getfit0808-
Awesome job on getting the fit test done! If you want post your results. Sharing is caring, haha.

Mikeck- Yikes, sorry to hear about your ribs, that is awful! Congrats on choosing to do something good for youself by picking to do Insanity. Instead of thinking about what you can't eat, focus on all the good, healthy, nutritious foods that you CAN eat. Once you start "eating clean" as they say (protein, vegggies, fruits, whole wheat) every 3-4 hours, your cravings for sugar should diminish. Eating sugar only makes the body want to eat more sugar!

So pumped to have everyone here! Remember, we are all at differnt levels, with different strengths and weaknesses. Each one of you brings something to this group. And do not be afraid or embarrased to post pictures of yourselves or post your fit test results. We are all hear to support and motivate. Nobody is going to judge you! I'm just proud of you guys for choosing to face reality, make a choice to change your life, and come hell or highwater, ACHIEVE your goals! Success will not happen overnight (did you notice weight gain in just one day, one week, or even a month??) It is going to take continued dedication, commitment, support, and yes, a litte bit of time. But how you look and feel at the end of this 60 days (and beyond!) will be totally worth it!

Just finished workout number 2. I felt like I spent a lot of time resting is this normal? I found the drills difficult and my heart rate was racing. How have others found this? For those who have done it before, does your tolerance improve?

Day two kicked my butt 2 hours ago but I feel great!!

Can't wait for day 3.

Hi folks,

I'd like to join this group if it's OK. I started my program on 1/4, not a Monday but I was excited to get started. I'm 36, have three kids from 6-9months and two jobs. I've put on a lot of weight the past year or two and resolved this year to do something about it. Starting at 5'10" 209lbs.

The fit test kicked my butt. I was incredibly sore the next day. I didn't think I could do day 2 but after the warmups I felt much better the soreness went away. I completed it to the best of my ability. I just finished day 4 which was wonderful. It was hard, and the lunges nearly incinerated my legs but it was a very relaxing workout and helped with the soreness.

One thing I've noticed is that the warmups on day 2 and 3 were way too fast for me. I need to warmup slower so I started doing some pushups and lunges before starting the DVD just to get "pre-warmed". The day before I started I I could do 15 pushups and hit my limit. Today I did 25 perfect, slow pushups. My body hasn't changed in 4 days. My understanding of the definition of "pain" has.

Things that have surprised me so far: The level of intensity is just nuts. I can do maybe half of the reps I'm asked to do. Sometimes I skip a set and just do jacks or jog in place to recover. I try not to stop moving. The workouts go by really fast which really surprises me. Another thing: I'm ravenous in the hours after a workout yet I'm craving snacks and sweets less. I'm also not terribly excited about having a beer at night either, which is a big surprise. I love beer and brewing. I haven't had a beer in three days.

I'm committed to finishing this program . I hope that the accountability that comes with joining this group will help me. I look forward to working with you guys.

Josh

Mikeck-

It is definitely normal to take breaks during the workout. I mean, even the people in the video do, haha. The more you do the workouts, the better you will get. I think I still have yet to make it through a video without taking a break, but I sure as heck take a lot less breaks than when I first started!

Josh-

Welcome to the team Josh!! Glad to have you! Kudos on being dedicated to making a positive change in your life. You bring up a great point about being sore in the first week- which everyone definitely will be- and that going through the warm up helps to alleviate some of the soreness so you can get through the rest of the workout.

I started Insanity on Monday and I have never done anything like this before. I am up for the challenge even though the plyometric workout today really kicked my butt. My plan is to keep pressing play every morning and to stay committed to changing my lifestyle.
