Drink a glass of water, or have a low calorie snack that won't wreck you. A small apple has about 60 calories and can take the edge off.
Really watch the ratio of what you are eating. My diet used to be horrible. High calorie carbs can leave you having to eat less to keep in your range while you can eat tons of lean protein and most vegetables and keep your calorie count modest. If you know you like to have a light snack at night, save some calories for it in your day. I don't recommend eating a lot right before going to sleep though if you can help it.
You are posting in the Support & Motivation thread, so let me recommend some. I find that being involved with one of the motivation threads really helps keep you focused on your goals. I have one running here:
Take the Road Less TraveledFeel free to check it out or send me a friend request if you are interested. I'll be 40 in June and decided to get in shape last fall. I'm down almost 30 pounds and feel great.
Keep pushing play and you can hit your goals!
