Advise to loose weight
Advise to loose weight

Hello ,

I am hoping if some one can help motive me and guide me in the right direction

I used to weigh about 240 points In September 2012. I did P90x for about 3 months and I lost about 20 points. I did insanity later for a month but did not loose any weight..

I want to loose about 20-30 more pounds over the course of next 5 to 6 months and I wanted to find out what is the best program to acheive that

Hi Deepak. Going to try to give you a few things to think about in response to your question. How are you doing with following the nutrition guides when you are doing your programs? 20 pounds in one round of P90X is a substantial amount of weight, congratulations! If you look back on the 90 days, were you eating a healthy and balanced diet? Following Tony's nutrition guide?
When you started INSANITY, were you adhering to the same or different eating habits, following the nutrition guidelines? Usually people report a slight gain in the time from when they start INSANITY up to the second month. I fear you may have stopped just as you were about to make a breakthrough.
I would highly recommend that you explore the Meal Planner aspect of Beachbody. You can personalize it according to your statistics and program and GOALS. It will give you meal suggestions and calculate daily caloric intake. The only catch is you have to be a member of Beachbody to gain access to it.
I terms of what program will help you the best, I'd have to know a little more about your goals, determination and personality but, it seems as though you had wonderful success in the past with P90X. Maybe try the INSANITY program to completion and if you are unhappy, restart P90X?
If you have any questions or other concerns, drop me a message. I'll send you a buddy invite and should you choose to accept it, you can message me directly. best wishes for success.

Hello Daniel
Thanks so much for the advise and taking the time to advice me.
I was not following beach body nutrition plan when I started p90x but I was one a very low calorie/low fat diet. I was able to maintain that for all the 3 months I was doing p90x.
I looked like I reached saturation in terms of loosing weight and that is when I started insanity. But when I started insanity I lost control of my diet and started eating a little more than when I was doing p90x but I would say I am still not bad
I did it for almost a month did not notice any lost weight but I definitely felt my body was in better shape . I think you might be right - I stopped a little too son - would have been better if I completed the 2 months. The holiday season came along and I am little out of control and have not exercised for the last 2/3 weeks.
I am thinking I will start fresh with insanity and start p90x after I am done.

How many calories are you taking in each day? Do you log your diet?

It looks like the holiday may have gotten you off track. If you have your exercise back on schedule now it's time to make sure your nutrition is in line as well.

If you'd like me to calculate the calorie level that is best to lose weight and enough energy to really BRING IT during your workouts and get through the day let me know.

Keep up the great work!

What you need to do is rev up your metabolism...go a little bit in calorie deficit, make sure to cut carbs down and eat lots of proteins.

On top of that, eat 6 meals a day, same hour everyday if possible, make sure your last meal is right before bed.

No sugar or useless sauce or spices you get the picture emoticon

If you stick to that for 4-6 weeks, your body will be so reved up the pounds will shed!

I was not logging the calories I eat even when I was in a good routine. I knew I was eating well but did not count the calories.
I am back on my exercise schedule and I think nutrition is something I have to pay close attention to this time..

Thanks for offering to to calculate the calorie level that is best to lose weight and enough energy to really BRING IT
Could you please do so and point me in the right direction and the nutrition guides

Thanks,
Deepak
