P90x nutrition plan
P90x nutrition plan

When I use the p90x nutrition calculators it puts me at around 1800 calories daily. Im a female age 38 4ft 10in and 106 lbs. That seems like a lot of calories to me if I want to lose my last 6 lbs. Any thoughts on this. I have done the insanity program and did not follow the diet plan. My strength increased a ton and I toned up quite a bit but still have some body fat that I would like to get rid of. So this time I'm going to do p90x and try to follow nutrition plan. Any suggestions or tips welcome.

Hi, 1800 is to keep your current weight. To lose about 1 lb /week while doing P90X you need 1,200. Do not go below 1,200 or you will begin storing fat and losing muscle.

By the way we are starting a new P90X BootCamp this next week, but you can stop by now and get your questions answered and for motivation and inspiration.

Not to sound accusatory, but don't listen the previous advice. Sounds like 1200 would be WAYYY to low for you, and if you followed the P90X calculator correctly, 1800 sounds about right. If anything, that might be on the lower end, but still a good number to start with.

Hello Lang, Aim for 1400 calories with macros of 50%protein/30%Carbs/20%Fat. If you don't follow the nutrition plan you wont get the results that you want, especially losing those last few pounds are the hardest.

Log your nutrition with myfitnesspal.com and you will lose those last pounds in a matter of weeks. You gotta eat enough and not too much as you don't want your body to store fat.

I have added you as a buddy if you have more questions we can talk privately. Thank you!

Thanks, I appreciate your suggestion. I have just started using the my fitness pal website. Your 1400 calorie recommendation seems a bit more on target for my size if I want to lose a bit more weight.
