Starting Ultimate Reset 1/21
1/14/13 12:40 PM
I'll be starting the Ultimate Reset on January 21st. This will be round 2 for me. I did it last year and lost 20 lbs, got rid of my allergies and started sleeping so much better. I'm hoping to have even more great results this time.

I'm also putting an Ultimate Reset Group together on Facebook. This will be a private group where we can all go for support and encouragement. If anyone is interested in joining a private group message me here.

I can't wait to start!

Hello And Thanks for the Message of a Group start..........
I too started Yesterday 1-20-13 But upon opening my Box discovered I was not sent any mineralize Bummed but I decided to start anyway..... I called Coach Relations and they said they would experss me the mineralize...
...........
I sort of have a problem with their menue as I turned primal over a year ago and do not consume grains or legumes...
I do like fruit and vegtables so if any of you stopping by have menu alternative suggestions I will for sure appreciate all suggestions..
My goal with the reset is to push away a plateu I have been at for about 6 months.
I lost 60 # last winter and spring but now no matter how hard I work or work out or whatever diet I try I can't move off this weight I am stuck .. Oh the scale will go down a bit but just a bit of extra food or something I dont usually consume and the couple # I have relost are back.
I also woould love to eliminate the horrible night sweats i suffer from nightly..... I am over taken by 2 to 4 of them every night.. Does not help me get a great nights sleep if you get my picture...
I also have a small patch of pesky rash on my right arm that i have had for about 2 months... I have tried every ezema and rash medicine both percription and OTC product but to no avail.. It is still there
So those are the reasons I decided to try the Ultimate Reset.........
blondyieak@hotmail.com is my e mail addrees for the FaceBook conection... But I am not Familar with a private group on FaceBook..........
Thank you

Welcome to the thread! I had to push my start date to later in the week in order to wait for another person to receive their's in the mail...I'm hoping to start on Thurs 1/24....we can all definitely stick together and hold each other accountable and offer support!

AlaskaLadyie: I'm sure you can add more veggies to those meals that call for grains...if you'll notice, the grains slowly get phased out of your diet...as most people do have grains in their diet this is a way to slowly break away from them.

MadhuInsanity: Welcome...I should be starting on Thurs as long as my other group member receives his order in time. Don't hesitate to ask any questions. I'd be happy to answer...

I'll set the Facebook page up in the morning and add anyone who is interested! emoticon

I'll join. I just started today and am ravenously hungry after lunch -- about to grab an apple. Also have a slight headache. The red meat part is not too tough for me, because I eat very little. The no dairy part is killing me though! There is dairy everywhere.

Anyway, I'm 6'2" and my college weight was 185. I was all the way up to 242 in September and dumped 10, but I'm stuck between 228 and 232. I am trying to get to 198, an even 90kg.

I've done one three day detox before and I felt pretty good afterward, but the crappy food and crappy overall feeling crept back in over Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I'm going to try to get it done with the UR, I like how well chosen healthy meals are a part of the plan. I don't think I'll be able to join your FB page, because I don't have an account.

Here we go!

Hi Pat...it's cool you don't do FB...we can just hang here on the message boards...I thought I was going to have a hard time with the dairy the first time I did it as well...but it really wasnt that bad...once it was weaned out after the first week, I found I didn't miss as much as I thought I would...

Word of advice...be prepared! Make sure you read the whole book, the meal plan included from front to back...it not only answers a lot of questions but you'll notice that a lot of the dinners you have will also be lunches the next day..so you'll want to make extra when you make your dinner so you don't have to make your lunch at the last minute...that can lead to taking the quick way out and just grabbing something to tide you over.

I didn't have any headaches during the reset because I nixed out coffee the prior week, but I was pretty sluggish for the first few days....

Welcome to the thread....I have 3 other people in my family who are doing it with me this go round and we start tomorrow! I'm so looking forward to it as I got so many awesome benefits out of it the first time I did it.

Be strong and stick with it...You'll be able to resist the dairy...I'll be happy to support you any way I can emoticon

Come back and let me know how today went...

Report: Day 1 was not too bad. All of the water definitely helps with satiety. I cheated a little after dinner and had a granola bar, because just wasn't quite full. An extra 200 calories should not be a deal breaker. The headaches became better through the day.

On to day 2! I will make a trip to the grocery store today. I have most of the ingredients, but not all.

Hi AlaskaLadyie: I decided to just go ahead and keep the posting here as some of the folks don't have Facebook. So you haven't missed a thing! emoticon How was your day 2-4?

PaJC: I'm so glad to hear that your headaches subsided...I wouldn't be too concerned over the granola bar. Have you noticed in the Reset book that men may add extra to portion sizes? Let me know if that works for you. If you're adding the extra and are still hungry after dinner I would suggest if you absolutely have to have something then try to grab something that is on the snack list. Remember, this isn't about crazy dieting, it's about putting only "clean" foods in your body as well...hope this helps and that today is a better day for you!

I started this morning, so it was scrambled eggs, toast and kale for me!

have a great day everyone!

I'll be starting on Monday 1/28... So I'll be a few days behind you all. Do any of you know if it's possible to replace a meal or two with Shakeology? I work 12 hour shifts and while the first week I can pack my food it may be harder the 2nd and third week.

Day 2 - The oatmeal sustained me for awhile today. Great choice. I wasn't as hungry in the afternoon, but I am still not feeling quite full after dinner. However, I did wake up hungry this morning, which is a significant improvement from before.

I found myself a) skipping breakfast because I wasn't hungry, b) eating a decent lunch, then c) eating poorly at dinner, which led back to a).

Spinach -- I've never eaten spinach for breakfast before, outside of an omlette with bacon and cheese.

I am looking ahead and this does get much harder, because the meats and grains go away and it's almost all fruits and vegetables, with the occasional reward of tempeh or quinoa. emoticon

Hi Renee, welcome to the thread....according to Isabelle Daikeler, one of the creators of the Reset you can have Vegan Shakeology only...and this is what she recommends:

Week 1: one scoop Vegan for breakfast mixed w/ water
Week 2: 1/2 scoop Vegan for breakfast mixed w/ water
Week 3: 1/2 scoop Vegan for snack mixed w/ water

Though I have also seen people that have the Vegan for breakfast everyday and still have great results. I hope this helps.

PaJC: Great job with day 2...and I think you'll do fine as the program starts to phase out meats and grains...you're going to be feeling so good you won't even notice...

Have a great day everyone! Day 2 starts right now for me.

Day 3, pretty good! Did not crave any sort of snack this afternoon. Lentil salad needed more cumin -- leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Very satisfied with dinner along with green tea, had granola bar for dessert.

Hope your day 2 is going well.
