Hello Everyone!

Just started Insanity for the first time yesterday (1/14)!

Today is my 2nd day. I am looking for some buddies to work with & keep me, as i try to keep them motivated.

Ever since i happened to see the Insanity workout program on one of those late night Paid program adds i have been nothing but excited to do it! So i got up enough money to actually get it & try it out. This is the first workout i was SUPER excited to try. I have always been the "chubby" girl. My friends being all skinnier than me. never got to wear a bikini, until recently i lost enough weight on my own that i am semi confident to wear one. but still hesitate when it comes to putting one on.

I recently moved to Arizona & i am going back home to visit Pennsylvania in the summer. I would love to show up to my friends & families houses looking like a whole new, healthier me.

I am just afraid (with the habbit of me doing this to alot of things) my excitement will fade & i will be come lazy & not do my work outs anymore.

i would love support & motavation from others who are kind of in the same boat as me.

Thanks.
<3 Ashley

Hi Ashley! I just finished the second workout myself. I almost can't afford to give up! I haven't had the most active lifestyle since I started college, and now I'm almost done and really need to get back on track for my career. I sent you a buddy request, add me if you want to help each other out through this program!

Hi Ladies!
This is my second time trying Insanity. The last time, I only made it the first month...then got too busy with things. This time I am finishing! I would love some accountability as well. I'm in week 2.

Hey Ashley!

Congrats on starting Insanity--right off the bat you can tell you are WORKING every single day! lol! I'm 23, and I got to my goal weight with Insanity and TurboFire. How was your first fit test? Mine really improved...especially the upper body stuff...as I went through the workouts. At first I couldn't do a single push up jack! I still remember falling on my face emoticon It gets easier though and it is SO much fun to see the changes in your body!

I'm in a great group that actually started when I was going through Insanity the first time. You're welcome to join us if you want emoticon It's on Facebook but totally private and invite only so no one sees our posts. We share meal plans, hybrids, accountability, motivation, questions, progress, and more. You should see some of the girls' abs from Insanity and P90X. It's nuts! Most of the people in the group are women so that's kind of nice as well emoticon If you'd like me to add you my name is Kalee Sorey on there (fb.com/kaleesorey).

Have you calculated your calories yet for Insanity? I know month 2 was so much better for me because I realized how i should be eating.

Hi Ashley!

I got hooked by the infomercial too emoticon I think it's awesome that you're taking on the challenge! One thing that helps me is to set really specific goals for myself. That keeps me motivated because I keep driving until I hit that goal. Plugging in with a team here helps too!

Mkgdy- I accepted your friend request & everyone who added me! Thanks & we can definetly help each other through this! emoticon

Frog- Thanks! I can def try to help you pull through all the way past month 2 emoticon Is week 2 seeming easier than week 1? i hope so lol i am so outta shape i seem to be laying on the floor when Shaun T is yelling "you can do this" lol. I just want to get to the point where i am in shape enough that i can do the whole thing (still tired) but its easier for me to keep pushing through.. ya kno?

Sorey- Thanks! Yea i am so sore, but after i post this im going to do my day 3. My fit test wasnt great at all! so hopefully when i do it again im def going to try harder to pull through to get better. I would LOVE to join that group since i am on facebook the whole day lol. Should i send you a friend request on there? or just private message you to add me to the group? And yea i calculated but its just not working out yet. even in my regular lifstyle before insanity i would get days where i could eat & eat & eat, and days where i dont even have the urge to eat. its really weird & i kno probably not the healthiest. I am trying really hard to eat right tho, or eat less then i used to of the bad stuff. Usually at dinner i would have 2nd helpings and im trying not to go for 2nds anymore.

Tom- Thanks! I know that commercial just pulls you in emoticon I will try that out & see if it will work for me as well!

Hello everyone!

How are you all doing?

I got done my day 4 (cardio recovery) of Insanity & that was hard.. well sort of.
My body definitely doesn't like me right now. Squats are not my best friend haha.
But i did find that i could pull through and do this work out with little stopping, even with my legs screaming at me! Which makes me VERY hopeful that tomorrow i can do tomorrows work out even better. (i guess we will see how much my legs really hate me tomorrow) I find it hard to stand up, when i get outta bed due to the soreness.

well just wanted to check in with everyone!
hope everyones workout went great!
& you all have a wonderful day.

Great job getting started with insanity. It's a little daunting when you first start. And you look at those people on the video and you think, that's insane. I can't do that. But you really can. And you'd be surprised how quickly your body just improves. The difference is even noticeable in just a week or two. And it's totally OK. Even the people on the videos take breaks. And if you feel your legs burning, then you are doing it right. Thats actually what you need. Here's the article I came across the other day about how interval training works and the benefits of oxygen debt, and why having that burning feeling in your legs is exactly what ou need:

Hey Guys,

New here too and just started on Jan 14th. Pure Cardio was crazy! I kept telling myself "It's only 20 minutes, you can do anything for 20 minutes" I got through it with some breaks. It was helpful to see that even those on the video were taking breaks. Made me feel like less of a wimp.

This is my first time doing anything like this. I had a baby 8 months ago and would like to feel better about myself by the time I return to work in May.

One thing I am amazed at is how much you eat while on this program. I've calculated myself to be at a 1900 goal and man, I feel as if I'm ALWAYS eating! It's a totally new concept for me to eat 5 small meals a day but I am committed.

How did everyone else do with Pure Cardio? Off to do Day 6 workout!
