starting Combat, not concerned about scale number
Hey everybody,
Hitting day 2 of LM Combat today, and first day of the Metabolism Kick Start. My question - is there value to a calorie-deficient diet if you aren't really concerned about what the scale says? I'm 6'0" and 159 lb, running about 11.2% body fat. I wouldn't mind dropping some points off the fat percentage, but I have no need to reach 155 lb or something like that.
Just looking for insight on how much stress I should give the "low cal" part of the diet.
Thanks!
Brian

ps - is a Combat subcategory going to come out in the message boards under "programs" any time soon?

I think in your situation it is less critical to eat low calorie (or at a caloric deficit). You'll obviously want to keep your diet as clean as possible. What are your fitness goals? LMC is primarily a cardio program. If you are looking to add mass you might want to consider another program or adding some additional resistance training into your schedule.

No, if you don't want to lose weight don't eat at a deficit. Just figure the right number or range to keep things in balance.

I started a Combat sub-category for you in the DVD section. It's HERE.
