What kind of results should I realistically expect???
Hey guys,
I really would like to get some personal accounts of other people's results so I can keep my motivation where it needs to be. I'm gonna give some info on what I'm doing and about me and I would LOVE to get some feedback on what kind of results you got in what kind of time frame. Thanks so much!!!

So first, I'm a work from home mom of two and I've always been strong and active. Up until I was about 24 (I just turned 32)I was very active (sports, running, dancing) and I was a fit 130 lbs at 5'3" (mostly muscle)and then I got into a long relationship and got lazy and put on a lot of weight. At my heaviest I was around 180 lbs and didn't even realize it until people started mentioning things to me and I was seeing photos of myself and freaked out. I started out slow with doing the treadmill and changing eating habits back to how I used to eat (very little junk and mostly protein, fruits and veggies and pasta) then added floor exercises. I dropped back down to 145 rather quickly and then became pregnant with my first child. I stayed very active during that pregnancy, still doing lunges, push-ups and the treadmill and bowled on a league the whole time. After I had her, I dropped the weight and was thinner than when I got pregnant...a good 135. I kept the weight off until I got pregnant with our second child a little over a year later. Again, after I had him, I was thinner than before but the weight number was the same. Somehow I'd put weight back on again. The weight number is not that bad, 157 (considering I've always WEIGHED more even when I was thin) and the only thing I can think of is that I always ate late because my husband got home from work late and beside chasing after two kids and running a business and home, I didn't do any EXTRA exercising. So I made a decision that after the holidays and while our business is in it's off season for 4 months, I was gonna hit it hard and really get fit. So the Monday after the New Year, I started. Here's what I'm doing:

Insanity (currently on 2nd week day 11 and I've done EVERYDAY pushing myself hard)
Jazzercise 2-3 times a week for an hour
Don't eat after 6 or 7pm
Cutting portion sizes down a little at a time
On top of this, I do the normal everyday stuff (house cleaning, picking up toys all day, picking up and down my kids who are 50 lbs and 30 lbs)

I really want to lose AT LEAST:
1" in upper arms
3" around the middle
1" in upper thighs
I really don't care what my weight number is, as long as my body feels and looks good.

Can anyone let me know what to expect after I finish the 60 days of Insanity at this pace? I'm fighting to wait until after the first 30 days to measure myself again. I'm just afraid that if I have too unrealistic of expectations, and I don't have results that make me say, "wow, ok it's working!", I'll lose motivation. I want to be realistic so I'm not disappointed. Can you guys give me some info on YOUR results to help me??? Thanks!!!

Steph

I love that you posted what EVERYONE thinks. I, like you, have thought this before as well. I am only on day 4 though but need to drop a good 50 pounds. By what I have heard, if you stick with it and the diet (mostly) then you will have fabulous results. You may lose inches and not weight...or as much weight as youd like...but hey thats ok too! I look forward to the response you get!

Good luck!

Hi Steph,

I completed two rounds of Insanity and now I am currently in my third week of P90X. Here is my Insanity results and information:

I am A 46 year old male, 5'9 and as of last August let myself go to 200 pounds, the most I had ever been. I began Insanity and stuck to the Nutrition Guide and after the round one I went from 200 pounds to 170 and after round two from 170 to 163 for a total weight loss of 37 pounds. I have lost all the weight I want to and have kept it off and now with P90X I am building muscle tone.

Insanity definitely gave me more stamina and I have a lot more energy. I recommend not to get caught up with looking at the scale (wait until 30/60/90) as you will see your measurements change also. My waist, arms and thighs definitely changed for the better throughout the process!

I added a recovery supplement to my water I drank while doing Imsanity which helped greatly and did not leave me with intense thirst during the workout.

Keep pushing play, you can do it and you will love the results. After Insanity, check out Turbo Fire if you like cardio workouts. I am not a Beachbody Coach and do not work for Beachbody - just a user like you who has seen the success of the programs. Feel free to reach out to me if you have more questions or just need motivation, here or I can be found on Facebook.

Good lluck, Dig Deep and Do Your Best and Forget The Rest!

Hey guys,
So I finished my first round earlier this month and I got really good results. I lost 3" in my waist, 1 1/2" in my hips and chest, 1" in each upper arm and upper thigh and 10 lbs. I didn't follow the nutrition guide, per se, but I did change things I ate and added in power foods, cut out what little junk I DID eat and was taking Insanity Metabolism Formula. I am completely addicted to this new focus. I bought Hip Hop Abs to do after Insanity, but after a week, I missed the craziness so I decided to do Insanity all over again. I'm on my 2nd week of round 2 and I love it. I even started taking a meal supplement shake and I'm joining a few groups for Insanity. The coolest part of my results have been the muscle tone I have now that I never had before. I have muscles jutting out of my thighs and calves and triceps! It's amazing. This program REALLY works and I feel amazing. I can't wait for T25, I'm already on the email list to be notified.

Thanks guys,
Steph

Oh and I forgot to mention, at one point I got a cold but worked through it, I ended up getting severe tendonitis in my left ankle and had to stop Jazzercize but continued Insanity (just didn't do any jumps) and right at the last few days, I got the stomach flu. I took two days off but finished once I felt better. I'm a monster. LOL.

Hey Steph and everyone,

I ordered Insanity about a year ago. I, was just like you Steph, but male. I was always active. I am a firefighter/paramedic and was placed on a busy ambulance. I was getting 3-4 hours of sleep and eating like crap. I was able to get off the ambulance. I weight myself and I had put on 50 pounds. I ordered and haven't looked back.

In the first 60 days, I lost 40 pounds, 5 inches off waist, 3 inches of hips, 1 inch of arms, 2 inches off chest, and 1 inch of legs. I felt great and have maintained that weight.

you guys can all do it. Take breaks when you need it. Track your calories ( I think that was helped me the most. Find a group and stay accountable.

Good luck everyone and dig deep

You can completely expect to be exhausted after each workout.

I think you can legitimately expect to be really tired of it about week 8.

I was completely ready to be done with it when I finished it. (Last Saturday was my last day.) So ready for a break.

You can expect that the second day after you are done to miss it. (Curse you ShaunT.) It really does make you insane.

And finally.

You can expect to be in far better shape than when you began.
