insanity help cardio toning hybrid advice

Hi i am curious to know what you believe to be a good blend to mix with insanity to achieve predominately the following:

Muscle Toning
Cardio

I love insanity but when the 60 days are up I am going to be continuously training for marathon in april I want to then return but maybe use a hybrid or do you think do another cycle of insanity and then look to hybrid.....

Hey Ron!

I just noticed this and wanted to chime in! I just wanted to ask what kind of marathon? If you are looking for a straight off endurance training then I would say that Possibly another round of Insanity would do great for you, if not and you are looking to both add some muscle tone and still improve Cardio even more have you considered graduating to Asylum? Both Asylum Volume 1 & 2 are 30 days and incorporate weight training while still making a BIG push in Cardio (especially V2), or you could consider making a Hybrid of Insanity and a program like P90X or Les Mills Pump. Tony does great with overall fitness, while Les Mills pump has a schedule I believe works PERFECT for hybrids. 3 days of weight training and 3 days you could use for walk/cardio/Insanity days! If you need more info definitely let me know!

That was a great help thanks! I am going to do insanity and complete followed by some endurance runnin leading up to the London marathon (running) I am then going to return to insanity when recovered and may look at asylum to boost muscle tone?

That'll be a great plan! If you do use Insanity during your training make sure you really listen to your body, rest when needed, and up your calorie intake so you'll have the energy!
