NEEEEEDD Motivation!
NEEEEEDD Motivation!

I am graduating with my bio degree in May and applying to med schools right now while doing my community service and time in lab for research on top of family issues and future planning with fiance...I NEED HELP! I can't set my priorities because it's hard for me to be mentally there while I got all this going on, but my fitness level is decreasing fast. I haven't spent regular time in the gym since September. I used to be a Field Marine Corps Corpsman and in great health and satisfied with my body. It's hard to have the low fitness habits I do now.

I'm new to team beach body. I finished p90x almost 2 years ago and just got p90x2. How can I get motivational or accountability assistance?

calitizo619,

Think about the reasons why you want to get fit. Is it for health, more energy, the ability to do things you used to do? Keep these priorities handy and constantly remind yourself. This is what helped motivate me.

Just think, if you start today, you will begin a path that will get you one step closer to your goals. If you do nothing today, you will gain nothing and might even move backwards. I know it is tough but the toughest part is getting started and so many on this forum have gone through similar situations- you have to ask yourself, why not you? You can definitely do it.

Do not worry about the other details in your life. They will come but if you are not healthy, you might sacrifice your other goals. As I say on my profile page, health doesn't guarantee happiness but without, it becomes impossible to achieve it. The richest man in the world would trade his fortunes if he couldn't walk, or breathe or function without pain just to be healthy. All the other things you have in your life will fall into place when you are physically and mentally well.

Just start and do your best. "friend me" if you would like to compare notes or keep motivating each other.

Good luck.

Posting your accountability each day here is a great way to stay accountable and use the other people here who post daily to keep you motivated!

I think plugging in here with a team that can help motivate you would be huge. Plus setting really specific goals for yourself and actually writing them down helps a lot. That way you're more locked into what you want to accomplish.

I appreciate the advice. I just accepted my few yet valuable friend requests I just saw. I look forward to getting this rollin!

Also, exercise is a great stress reliever that can help you sort out your other thoughts. emoticon
