coach newbie group

I'm new to this site. What are the benefits of joining a group and what is a good one to join. Also, i don't really see a benefit to having a coach. What are they supposed to help me with?

Groups can help you stay motivated, hold you accountable, and educate you with their experience. I've been told around 75% of the people who buy P90X never finish it... A lot of people need that extra support. Myself and some other coaches I've networked with hold challenges through facebook. We get people from all over the world and it's pretty cool to see 100+ complete strangers come together over some work out videos. A lot of coaches become one merely for the discounts on supplements. Others have degree in fitness. Myself I became a coach to keep me going with my training for an ironman in 2014. I have done several triathlons and have a lot of experience from that training. The people I coach keep me going, hold me accountable. It's also a great feeling when you help someone have a jaw dropping transformation.
