I just started the INSANITY workout tomorrow/today will be day 5. Im unable to get through a whole workout other then cardio recovery. I have to stop 10 min into it. I keep going after a short break, but just wondering if ill still get results. Its very embarrassing how out of shap I am. I struggle with my weight. Now because I breastfeed im trying to loss weight the healthiest way I can. I take in 1800 cal a day and EBF anything anyone can think of to help?

You are NEVER alone on that! Insanity is R-O-U-G-H!! And you are being VERY brave by tackling that as your first program! Continue to do your best in the workouts, Modify, Modify and MODIFY as you need! You can definitely do this! If you need the support we are all here cheering you on! Now do you feel 1800 is enough? Depending on what your body is telling you it may or may not be!

Awesome! Insanity is one of my favorites. How do you like Shaun T?! He's a great motivator. Feel free to stop by my thread, it's great for motivation and lots of great people there to answer questions like this. Have a great night

You are absolutely not alone on this! Everyone has to take breaks, especially when just starting out. Look closely at the people in teh video, and you'll see that they take breaks too. So if you have to, don't feel bad, it's totally normal!

As you keep going the breaks will get shorter and less frequent, so just keep pushing play!

Hi Christy,

Congrats on starting Insanity, there are so many people who do not even want to dare start such a tough program so great job! It is SO hard. I can't tell you how many times I stop during Insanity, I take breaks all the time. You are just like all of us. The more you do it the better you will get. Don't worry about it at all. The fact that you are moving is great. It is hard too because you obviously have a baby and that makes it tough and you are nursing, I understand.

Definitely make sure you are eating enough, this is important given how hard you are working during this workout. Do as much as you can and maybe the next day you will do a little more and so on. Don't give up. The results will come.

We are all here with you!!

Congratulation on Day 5. The first few days were the worst for me.

I'm on day twelve and I couldn't get through it all without breaks. Particularly anyhing in plank. I spend quite a bit of time in child's pose trying to work up the strength to continue.

Second do not be embarrassed about how out of shape you are. Can't be too much worse than me. Get excited that you aren't going to be that way anymore.

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement. I never even considered taking in more calories. I just take inwhats needed to successfully breastfeed. Im not sure how many I should be taking in, my son is 8 months and EBF (exclusively breastfeed). I know EBF burns about 300 calories a day. So maybe I do need more.

I will continue to press play. Im so ready for a new me!

What I would recommend Christy is to try and add anywhere from 100-200 more calories per meal ( which would increase your overall intake by at least 500-1000) and see how you feel then! But make sure that if you do it you do it for 2 weeks before you make a decision on whether to keep going with it or not!

You can do this! You'll do awesome!
