On Jan. 1 I weighed in at 199.6 lbs (5'11" tall). I started dieting and came down to 190.2, and have been at least that for two weeks. So to help me get over the plateau, I ordered Insanity and began doing those work outs on 1/23/13. I am frustrated that I am now 191.4.
I have been using MyFitnessPal app on my phone to track calories. It told me to eat 1320 a day to generate a two lb weight loss per week. I have been keeping in that range. Is it possible that I am not eating enough?
I calculated my BMI, and was told that I should be eating 2600 calories to maintain 190lbs, and I was also told that to generate a 2lbs/week weight loss to cut 1000 calories from that. So I figure that I will try to eat just a little more per day and see where that gets me.
Any Diet Experts out there that can help me with what I am doing wrong?
I can't really afford the diet plan or Shakeology. Any suggestions?
First off CONGRATS on your first day!!! What do you think of the program? Don't feel alone! You will see lots of people that need help dialing in their nutrition! I was one of them when I did Insanity.
Next, I would say way low on calories! I calculate you at 2270 and that is factoring in for weight loss of 2 lbs a week! I don't know what type of job you have I guessed office by the pic. I too have MFP and would be happy to friend you and look at what you are eating! My username is dirtbikechk
My guess is your body is just in starvation mode. I hope this info helps! I would love to support in anyway on your journey!
