NEED HELP!!
NEED HELP!!
1/23/13 10:10 AM
I want to do the P90X exercise, but I need like 2700 calories per day! (or that's what they say) How do I get that many calories without having to eat 24/7? I've heard that eating fish everyday is not healthy. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Do I really need 2700 calories? I think that's a little much?

Thank you for your advice!

We would need to know your weight, height and age to calculate your caloric need.

What is your current goal, lose weight?

I eat over 3000 calories each day and it is not that hard to get. To help you reach your caloric need you got to eat 3 meals and add snacks in between. If you eat 3 meals and 3 snacks each day it is pretty easy to reach your caloric need.

In addition to the info Dominic asked for you should also tell us about how you are eating currently. You might be surprised how many calories you're taking in.

Your maintenance calorie is 2800. If your goals is to lose weight, you should aim for 2300 calories with macros of 50% protein/ 30% Carbs and 20% Fat.

WHat are you using to track down you nutrition? The portion approach or myfitnesspal?

I use myfitnesspal on my ipad. I'm up to 2235 calories a day now. I will be starting P90X on Wednesday 1/30/13. I am doing P90X to gain muscle.

Well if your goal is to add muscle mass you need to add more calorie than your maintenance. This may sound like a lot of calories but to gain muscle mass you will need to eat more than 2800 calories of maintenance.

I would begin by adding 10% of your maintenance calories and which would means you have to reach 3100 calories.

You can also change your macros to 50% Carbs / 25% Protein / 25% Fat.
