I have insanity questions?
1/23/13 5:52 PM
Hello everyone! So I've had Insanity for a while now. I started and I always feel exhausted before and after the work outs. I'm a 16 year old male and I believe 5'6 and weigh 144. Are there ways to feel more motivated and more energized to do insanity. I just did the 3rd workout disc today and I couldn't even get through half of it. :/

Can I get tips PLEASE?

Thank you guys! I appreciate it!

Hello,
Sounds like you need to find things and reasons to make you more motivated. Also if your not eating a clean diet with the right amount of calories, you wont feel good and wont want to do your workouts everyday. Check your diet and ask yourself why your doing the program and find things that motivate you! Do you want to look good for the ladies emoticon Do you want to be a better more improved you. ETC ETC. Find that why factor and ride it to the end!

If you eat alot of junk foods like chips soda candy ramen and fast food, they build up toxins in your body, the smaller you are the more condensed those toxins get try a detox like Aqui Berry cleanse or a veggie 7 day detox something along those lines would really help with the groggy feeling. as for motivation for the workout your not way overweight especially being male for a weight of 144 is a good weight it will get you very toned watch before and after videos on youtube. or look through the albums on here its great motivation to see the real transformations. Best of luck keep pushing play.

P.S. if you take pictures every day and compare them to day one you will see your daily change that in itself is great motivation

I mean... I want a nicer body and everything. But it seems not motivationally enough. What would a clean diet be? Of course I do! I definitely want to be more fit and improved. Sometimes it just feels impossible for me though. :/
Thank you coach!

True.. I mean I try to stay away from them. But at the same time even if I do, it seems like I'll never lose weight. I should try those cleanses. Because I feel exhausted. I literally had stopped insanity and I need to actually do it and NOT stop. Like I know, i'm not overweight but at the same time. The only area of fat is pretty much my stomach and it's a real annoyance to get rid of the fat there. I look at the videos and stuff, I'm like what in the world they have nice bodies and then theres me. emoticon
Thank you!

I'll start taking pictures then. I've been meaning to anyways.

They worked for the bodies they have now, if your giving up its not only hurting your fitness level but your willpower. If you want to see results you HAVE to push play every day. another suggestion find someone to work out with you, trust me it is soooooo much easier to stick to it when someone else is working with you toward those goals. HAving tomeone there with you to hold you to it, or even if you have the video you might even ask a gym teacher if they would like to use it for P.E. class being 16 i would imagine you would be in P.E. correct? that way it would be mandatory and youd be helping your fellow students as well emoticon

LMAO Yes it is VERY bad for you it is FULL of starch and one packet is 380 calories, normally people eat 2 packet, there are 2 servings per packet meaning all the info on the packet is doubled, meaning there are 1820 mg of sodium in one packet the only vitamin property in it is 10% iron, and it is alot of starch and sodium

So questions for your questions!

1. When do you workout?

2. Do you sleep well at night?

3. Are you getting enough slow carbs (veggies, whole grains, fruits) and proteins?

4. Are you active outside of insanity?

5. What is your caloric intake for the day? Can you break down your macros (carbs, fats, proteins).

Motivation has to come from within. Unless you are competitive and if so I am calling you out, I am already competing with a few folks on this board and I have no intention of losing emoticon. Take control now, it is much easier to start changing your lifestyle at your age than it is for someone twice your age. Insanity would be great for you because to be honest at 16 I am not a huge fan of pumping huge iron. Plyo first then move into weights... get strong off your own body then challenge it.

Sorry for the late replies! I haven't had internet for a couple days.
1. I usually workout after I come home from school.
2. I sleep decent. I usually go to sleep at like 12am. But even when I go to sleep early like 10pm I still wake up feeling tired.
3. I believe I get enough.
4. I run on my treadmill.
5. Well i'm not sure actually. Because I just eat until i'm satisfied enough. But I weighed myself today and i'm 143. & I checked my height i'm actually 5'7-5'8. So I'm not sure how much I should be consuming. Sorry D:

I know... it's just hella hard. But I know I have to pull through in order to get what I want! My sister works out with me. Well I only had to take 2 years of p.e and I don't have to anymore.

Definately find something that motivates you. Don't worry about being able to get all the way through a workout. I'm on week 5 and can't do all of it. If you truly do the program as hard as you can, I don't think there are very many people that can do it without pacing themselves. As you continue, you will be able to do more and more as your conditioning improves. Keep it up.

Sounds like your fuel tank is empty. Think of your body as a machine. What kind of fuel are you putting into it? Energy comes from your food. We all need nutrients that come from eating real food, vegetables and fruits. Stay away from the already mentioned but also from eating processed (canned, over preserved) foods. Try to eat lots of fresh, raw produce or supplement with Shakeology which is packed with tons of high test fuel. You will notice the difference in just a few days once you make the necessary diet changes.
Stick to it!

True true. Lately I have been trying to eat healthier. Like salads and lean meat and vegetables with NOT TOO MUCH salt and all the bad stuff in it. I could eat more fruit. Hm..... i'll try!
