Transition from insanity to p90x?
Transition from insanity to p90x?
1st time p90x plyometrics 30 days results 0 day of insanity transition program 0 day of p90x

Hey guys! So i finished insanity at the end of December last year. I liked it a lot so I got p90x. Yesterday i did chest and back which was a great and hard workout. But today was plyometrics, and honestly, it really wasnt that hard(compared to insanity). Now, it wasn't easy, I got a good sweat going and my heart rate went up. But i felt like I probably could have done the whole thing again. And i wasnt dogging the plyoX workout either, I rarely took breaks, and went the whole 30 sec-1 min for each workout. The non-cardio workouts are definitely hard and I like that, but it felt like plyoX didnt really do much. Has anyone else had this problem that did insanity first? What did you do?

The P90X cardio routines are definitely easier than anything you did in Insanity.

What a lot of people do is do Insanity/P90X hybrids. Subbing insanity workouts in on cardio days. That's what I did when I did P90X after Insanity. It seemed to work pretty well, might be something for you to explore.

You are right. Cardio in Insanity is harder that the one in P90X. How about doing a Hybrid: P90X + Insanity. Replace the cardio workouts with the Insanity ones and you'll have the best of both worlds.

PD: You will gain muscle with P90X!

By the way we started a new P90X BootCamp last week , but you can stop by now and get your questions answered and for motivation and inspiration.

Do any of you know if there is a specific schedule for the p90x/insanity hybrid? or should I just sub in the insanity workout that I feel like doing?

You can google and take a look at some of the schedules out there. Most of them doing Plyometric cardio or Max Plyo in place of plyometrics and then instead of Kenpo they'll do Pure Cardio/Cardio Power Resistance or Max Cardio/Max Interval Circuit depending on what phase you're in.

You can look at the beachbody official schedule by going to get fit and going to the workout sheets section.
