Working out everyday and watching calories. Not loosing weight
I was wondering if I was building muscle and losing fat so it was canceling each other. I am doing Les Mills: Combat and really enjoy it. Also workout on my bowflex a good bit. I am watching my diet over on calorie count.http://caloriecount.about.com/calcamp/profile/mongoosedoggie

I know my diet is a bit off but i am way under on my calories and working out daily. Any ideas. Never been into nutrition but am trying to start.

We can't see your food log, can you do a printscreen and link the image here so we can see what your calorie and macros look like?

I have experienced this same problem everytime I start a workout routine. It seems that it comes down to making a choice between loosing weight, or gaining muscle. Then again what is weight? It's just a number! Muscle is more dense than fat, ie it takes a larger (physical) amount of fat to "weigh" equally as an amount of muscle. Remember back to 9th grade physical science class? A pound is a pound, doesn't matter what the object is. It really comes down to mass (considering that weight is the amount of force the earth is putting on an object).

I was not expecting the geek in me to come out on that one, I apologize. The way I see it as long as you feel better and are becoming stronger, weight is not a factor. I suppose unless you are a jockey. Keep up the hard work!

You are not eating enough calorie, what is your height, weigth and age?

Your macros are wrong too, you are not eating enough protein.

You should be eating at least 1800 calories per day for a man and if i read your logs right you are only eating 1500 calories.

Give me your age, height and weight so i can calculate your maintenance caloric need.
