Yes there is something wrong. You are paying too close attention to weight. I have also been doing Insanity. I'm on day 14. I have lost 2 maybe 3 lbs. However, I have lost some off my waist. You are gaining muscle, which weights more than fat.

Trust me, if you give it 100% you are going to be fine. Stick with it and you WILL see results!

I 300% understand! This is my third time going with P90x! I would get to day 60 something and quit. Tell myself I can't do this anymore. I'm to busy. I haven't lost any weight, in fact I gained. Which made me even more upset. I sat there sore and in tears! Why can't I lose anything. After the last time of giving up, I told myself I hurt my knee which I did but it wasn't that terrible I was still able to walk about to do whatever I wanted I just didn't want to work out. So Christmas rolled around and with that New Years Resolutions yet. Kicked my habit of smoking and started to feel better. I had always been part of a accountability group, and my coach was always talking about the benefits of shakeology, the benefits of becoming a coach. I said no way am I going to ever do that. Well I sat back and thought about it, what harm woyld I be doing to try it out. It has a money back guarantee, I can cancel so whatever lets try it. I've been using shakeologly and p90x im on day 11 and I've lost 7 pounds! I feel amazing I have also lost seceral inches too. Give it a try and see what you think (:

I finished a round of Insanity so here is my thoughts. You wont lose a lot of weight during the first month. Month 2 is when you really start to lose weight. Dont look at your weight so much. Instead, look at how much better your fitness level has gotten. At the end of my first month I only lost a couple of pounds, but my overall fitness level was much better then when I first started. In month 2 the workouts get harder and, I lost around 10 pounds during that month. I know it can be hard when you are trying so hard and dont see the scale go down much, but just give it time, and I promise it will work. You are on day 18, that means you only got around 5 weeks left.

Dont give up emoticon I have done Insanity from october 22 to december 23. You are only on day 19, it's normal you didnt lose any weight yet. That will come a little later. But I'm sure your fitness level has increased already. Insanity is a great program and you are building muscle mass. Have taken your measurements?

Hey Jerica!
Greetings!
I think you are doing a fantastic job and I wish you sucess and accomplishment in your journey. I understand how you feel because my wife has expressed the same thoughts. There's nothing wrong with you,but something to remember is that sometimes it's harder for women to lose fat/ weight quickly so you have to keep trying BUT HAVE FUN with it, make it a game. It will take time to acheive your goal but you will make it.

My wife and I have been using Shakeology and my wife has lost 10 pounds in 1 month, I love the chocolate and I mix fruits in with it.

Can I send you a buddy invite?

I wish you and yours health and happiness,

Hey! I'm on day 18 of Insanity myself - right there with you! I haven't lost any weight, in fact some days I'm even a pound or two up! But I have one of those scales that calculates fat and muscle in your body, and it tells me I am up 1% muscle and down 1% fat! =D I was also starting to worry about not seeing results, but this thread has been really encouraging - I'm excited for month 2, sounds like that's when it gets better! I'll stick with it if you do!

Hey there, look at what you're eating. If you are going to try Shakeology, and I recommend you do, use it in the morning as simple carbs just don't cut it. Make sure you are combining a protein and a carb together. This will keep your sugar level and will stop the body from storing fat. The best way to lose weight is to eat frequent small meals which tells the body/brain that it's going to eat soon. The body is a remarkable complex thing. Do the BB meal plan and enjoy the food choices it gives you. Quite often, peoples misconception is that they should skip lunch or dinner to lose weight and this simply is not true.

I hope that helps and good luck.

Jackie

I am in the same boat as the others. I am at the end of week 3 of Insanity. I have been using a whey protein powder mixed with strawberries and milk in the morning just after my workout and then continue to follow the meal plan. I have only lost 3 pounds so far, but from all of the posts, it will start looking better soon. Is there much of a difference between shakology and a whey protein powder?

Thanks!
Stacy

You know Jerica, 19 days into a program is not really giving it a chance. I hear people being supportive here, but what the heck, did you think you were going to see incredible results in 19 days? I think you can transform any body but it takes time. One of the things I don't like about alot of these BB programs is that they advertise some results and pictures of, what i think are, anomolies of these programs. People that go from looking like they swallowed a beach ball to cut and chisselled in 90 days. From one extreme to another. People see this and get swallowed up in it. I'm not saying that it can't be done, but you have to really stick to an incredibly difficult change in your nutrional habits, WHILE, beating your body up for those 90 days. For most people though, they will cheat on the workouts, possibly skip some days along the ways, cheat a bit on the diet....
I think that is quite normal but your results won't be like those few that i described.
I think for most of us, with these programs it gets allot worse at first (tougher) before it begins to get better. Days where you beat yourself up and you get dissapointed when you look in the mirror, like you are right now. You just have to have faith and keep pushing and realize that this isn't some quick fix to undo years of bad habits. What I do like about the BB progams is they EDUCATE you on fitness, and nutrition and if you just go day by day it really works to change your entire approach to these items and will form into your everyday lives and a new way of life.
I'm sorry if this sounds a bit cold hearted, but honestly the one thing I can say BB advertises that is 100% true is: "time, patience & practice."

Keep it up and just keep going!

Are you using Shakeology as a meal replacement?

Greetings!
I haven't figured out how to cut and paste comments and questions yet,

"Am I using shakeology as a meal replacement?"

Yes I am, Here's how I'm doing it.

When I wake up in the morning and get ready for work I make a shakeology with berries (raspberry, blueberry, strawberry and banana with 1% milk or even water). While I'm driving to work I'll drink my shakeology. I don't make time to make breakfast because I like to sleep in as much time I can. I'm pretty active at work because I climb ladders and lift heavy stuff (I'm an electrician) and I walk a mile 1 way to the jobsite one way up hill. For my 3rd break I may or may not drink another Shakeology depending on my mood.

So to answer your question, Yes I use it for breakfast and mid day snack. I love the chocolate the best.

Wishing you all the best of health and happiness

I agree with some of the other posts. There is NOTHING wrong with you!!!! Keep eating well and keep "pushing play". Even if you haven't lost any weight yet I'm sure you are gaining muscle and toning up. If you took measurements at the beginning of your program, take them again. I'm sure you will see a change. For me, Shakeology has been a great addition to my daily routine. Don't give up!!! Don't hesitate to reach out if you need help emoticon

I also use Shakeology as a breakfest replacement and an after supper snack. Stuff
tastes great (although original chocolate tasted better) but it's soooooooo
expensive (please no coaches e-mailing me I can become a coach for $$'s/month to save $$'s
on Shakeology, i know about that already). I don't think your success in any program hinges on using this stuff. If you can eat right on your own that's good enough. I think of Shakeology as a "bonus" or present for myself every so often. Would buy more if they just lowered the price!
