Well, here I am again, last year this time, I started P90x for the first time ever. I made it to week 10 but quit due to low results and loss of spirit. I also realized that not one single week the entire time I did it all as detailed. I would skip yoga one week, or skip shoulders and arms the other, etc. Realizing this - I quit.

Upon starting again for the second time, I lost my inspiration earlier in the program.. and stopped. Fast forward to present time, and I made it just two weeks in, then crashed hard with frustration and dispair. I failed once again - my 4th attempt.

I am about to begin my 5th try at P90x, but I'm wondering if I should just give it up. The thing is - I want to do it so bad, I want that hot body, I want it all. I don't know how people can come here and brag of all their successes. Why can't I be successful too?

Sorry for the sob story. Just really frustrated.

First off don't apologize, we all need help and support! First questions, are you relaying your concerns to your coach? Your coach is a huge part of your success, if they don't know what is going on they can't help, if you don't have one that could be one step in the right direction, I would love to help! There are tons of coaches on here that would as well so choose one for you to make this work for you! If you want more info you could add me as a buddy and we could go over a plan for you.
Let me ask you this, do you Like the P90X? How do you feel after the workouts? What are your goals? It does take a while and I fully recommend following through till the end. You will get great results just as everyone else does if you finish it. P90x is a great program! My advice is communication with a coach and find a thread you like! I have one for Insanity but other programs are welcome on there too! Feel free to message me if you have more questions I will be more than happy to answer any!
Hope this helps!

Hi, Maniac!
What you are going though is more normal that what you think. I did half of P90X the first time , didn't follow the nutrition guide and didn't have results!. 1 year after that I begint to felt this self assurance that I would need to get fit, not to look good, but because all my trygilerids, sugar and cholesterol were up in the roof, so I did P90X once, and lost 10 pounds, and lowered my levels, then did a 2nd round, but not 100% due to travelign, etc, and now is my third time, doing it right, nutrition, everything and seeing results. Now my levels are normal again and enjoy helping people get fit, really.

Do NOT give up, forget about how many times you have tried in the past. This will be your REAL first time, the other ones were PREVIEWS. ok? Yes, you will see here the successful people or the one that keep fighting, the one that drop the towel are not in the forums!

Keep it on Maniac.

I'm staring a new P90X group for the ones starting February 1st!. There is no problem is you start a few days before of after, i'll be in the thread for support and motivation.

I've sent you a buddy request. I'm creating the group today so I still doesn't have the link, send me a message for it.

Thanks for the reply. I came here to vent my frustrations and wasn't sure what to think of these seemingly automatic coach requests I'm getting. I appreciate this forum as it seems to be really about helping others. I'm not quite used to that on other forums I visit.

To answer your questions, yes - I like the idea of P90x, it is handy, do it at home, in privacy, etc. I don't like all of the workouts - such as yoga. I feel great after a workout though, but it still seems to be not enough for me to keep me motivated. I could be doing great for a few weeks, and then one day - I lose it, and fall off.

My goals are to be healthy and fit.. and let's be honest, I want that hot body as well. I'm tired of being self conscious of my belly. I have my goals, but I back away from achieving it.

Thanks again for your reply.

Thank for your reply as well. I feel better already just with the responses I'm getting. I am unsure if I can commit to a P90X group. But I appreciate the offer. I came here mostly to vent my frustrations... but maybe I'll stick around, visit here now and then. I realize I must not be the only one who struggles. Thanks for your encouragement.

Great advice above and I too have to recommend joining a team for support, encouragement, workout and eating ideas, and a little ribbing and fun! Keep after it, you will NOT be disappointed in the results from this program!
