Well, Ive beeen doing insanity and noticing results, mostly getting more toned. The only issue I have is with dieting, I live at my parent's house and they really don't cook "diet" food. Do I have to follow a strict diet regiment to achieve better results?

Well, the more you do the better your results will be. Eating an appropriate mix of carbs, proteins, and fats will help but most important is just keeping your calories eaten lower than your calories burned (if you are looking to cut fat). Watch your portions and try to eat lean proteins while eliminating unneeded sugars.
