Hi, I new here. I have always struggled with weight loss and I have tried all the fad diets. I am currently doing the insanity work out. I was wondering if it is a good or bad idea to try a diet pill??? Hydroxicut???

So glad you are doing Insanity! First, off I have tried those in the past and let me say I hate to be negative but NOOOOOO don't do it!! Those pills are another form of fad dieting. They are not the healthy way to lose weight and not to mention if you are looking for a permanent solution to losing weight those pills are far from it. There are much healthier ways to do it and Insanity is perfect!
Are you using Shakeology? That is a much healthier option to boost your weight loss. If you would like I would be happy to discuss some other tools like My fitness pal and good ol moral boosters! If you would like to send me a buddy request and I would be happy to stay connected with you and help out in any way I can!

I second what CoachAmyMoss said. No diet pill is the correct way to lose weight and get in shape. Doing the Insanity workouts and eating healthy are the best options. Fad diets aren't something you can maintain for the rest of your life; they just aren't healthy long term, and the same goes for diet pills. They may help you lose weight quickly, but without the hard work of exercise and healthy eating you're guaranteed to put all of the weight back on once you stop taking the pills or doing the diet... its how they make their money! Not to mention its never good to put loads of chemicals in your body, especially when you don't know what they are or how you'll react to them. What worries me even more about Hydroxicut is that they aren't FDA approved, and in fact On May 1, 2009, the FDA issued a warning to consumers to stop using Hydroxycut products, due to 23 reports of serious health problems associated with the use of Hydroxycut, and at least one death.

Beachbody does something else. They promote a healthier way of life. Insanity is a tough workout, but it really works for the long term. Part of why it works is because of the nutrition guide that comes with it. The guide shows you how to eat right, because 70% of your results will come from the kitchen. I've heard good things about shakeology (mostly from coaches who's job it is to sell it), but haven't tried it myself - so I can't vouch for whether or not it works, and have found inconclusive evidence when searching about it.

Overall, just keep pushing play on those Insanity DVDs and eat healthy. With those two things you should see great results without the need for diet pills or miracle shakes!
Good luck!

I agree with everyone. No do not do diet pills. They cna be unsafe and gove short term results. Focus on your nutrition and givng your all to the workouts.

How is Insanity going? Most people have the best results in Month 2.

Keep pressing play!
