I am in my 4th week of P90X and so far in my first three weeks I haven't lost any weight but I actually gained 2 pounds last week! I am seeing results in my pants size but was wondering if anyone else is having or has had the same problem as me. I have been doing P90X in the mornings and eat a healthy diet throughout the day. On the days that I do the muscle focus workouts I make sure to do a cardio workout in the evening to guarantee that I burn more calories than I eat. Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hi,
During the first 2 weeks you will gain weight due to water retention. This is normal. After that you should lose weight or measurements. If you have downgrade your pants size keep on, you are on the right track as you are losing fat and gaining muscle (remember muscle weight more than fat and uses less space).

Thank you! That is what I was thinking but I didn't want to short change myself because I want to make sure I make the most out of these 90 days and get fit the best way! I just joined your group! Thank you for the invitation, and I would love to join! (I need all the inspiration and support I can get) LOL.

Hello wdrebekah,

This would depend on various factors. The main thing is pay attention to your measurements. If you are losing inches and clothes are fitting looser then you are on track. If this is not the case, then there is something not right with your nutrition plan.

Yes, you might have gained 2 pounds of muscle, however you should be losing weight after 4 weeks, if you have a lot to lose. I'm not sure what your goals are. If you have a lot of weight to lose, then you should have definitely dropped. If your goal is small like 10 lbs, then more than likely we need to tweak your diet.
