Ok Im new to p90x on my 2n week and just finished yogax.. I have lost 10lbs and no inchs..I can see muscles in my legs and arms but my belly (which is the main reason i started p90x) is the same.. Im eating healthier and sweating my butt with every workout..Should i be worried that im not losing more weight or inches? I know it takes time and i have just started, I do see inprovements i can do more then i did the first week but i just was wondering if anyone else was like this.. I am a big girl and now at 235 so i thought i would see me losing more weight at this point.. I have cut out junka and sodas..Just wondering when i should really start to see the lbs falling off thank you have a good day

10 pounds in 2 week is a lot. Usually you aim to lose 1-2 pounds per week. Are you tracking down your nutrition and have calculated your needed calorie intake?

You gotta give yourself time for all the fat to burn, remember that you didn't pack all those pounds in a few weeks and they wont go away in a few weeks either. Rome wasn't build in a day and neither is your body.

I have added you as a buddy, i can take a look at your nutrition and get you started right so you can get the results you deserve.

You might consider re-reading the nutrition guide for P90X...that is way, way too little food to be eating in a day.

Re-visit page 4 of the guide and check out the calorie calculation.

You are way too low, 1200 is the minimum calorie intake for women. Give me your age, weight and height i will calculate your maintenance calorie and we will determine by the way what is your calorie goal.

Also, What macros are you using?

You've lost 10 lbs and are worried that you aren't having results? What kind of results are you looking for? I agree with the others that if you're 235 lbs you are eating WAY too little to support your progress. You might lose for a while more but you'll hit a plateau if you keep undereating.

Losing 10 pounds that fast is hard, but it is possible. Most of it is water weight, and a little fat loss.

You have already introduced changes to your body that are resulting in weight loss. Allow your body to make the adjustments. This happens over TIME. Please be patient. Your body is using water in a variety of ways. Cells need it to move toxins and waste products out. You will not sweat it all out. More important to hydrate than not drink (or take a water pill).

I do NOT recommend taking a water pill or a diet pill unless you have a medical reason to do so under the supervision of a physician. Unless a doctor is telling you to do this (and even then I'd get a second opinion) I would stay away from this approach because it will add additional stress to your body, give you unrealistic and temporary results that will not reflect your actual progress, and likely be harmful.

P90X is a well-researched program with thousands of people getting excellent results. Follow the plan and use the Nutrition Guide. You are just in week 2. Stay with it. By week 10, you should be impressed with the changes that will happen.

I agree 110% with what Brian says below. There are really no shortcuts or "magic bullets." Water weight is just water. Taking a pill thats a diuretic will just make you pee a lot and give a FALSE sense of progress. I try to encourage people to remember that they didn't get fat overnight so don't expect to get thin overnight, either. These things take time. Focus on your nutrition and overall fitness and the rest will come.
