Hey I started p90x about a month ago so I am on my 4th week. I haven't missed a day. People say they can see a different in my face, but I haven't really gone down in weight yet. I don't know why. I drink water, only water for the most part and I eat alot healthier then I used to. Today I did core synergistics and I didn't like it. I might start doing Cardio X instead of core synergistics. I'm 19 years old and about 151.8 pounds today. I just want to know why I am not losing weight. Thank you.

Nicole,

The true changes come in the 2nd and 3rd phases but the big question here is have you compared your measurements? How do you clothes feel now? Do they feel looser than before? Muscle weihgs more than fat so it happens a lot that your gaining muscle while losing fat so the scale doesnt change but the inches do....

Hi Michael, You are probably right. I havent looked at the inches but I deff feel different. Clothes feel somewhat better to wear. I probably gained muscle and that is why. I just wish I lost a few pounds. Thanks.

Hi Nicole,
Welcome to the Boards. First, this is a 90 days program and you are 1/3th of it, every body is different, some people will lose weight on the last few keeps, and other at the beginning, so just keep pushing play!

Another thing: Fat occupies more space and weight less than muscle, and in P90X you will gain muscle, so even if the loss of fat + more muscle leads to the same weight you should see changes in your measures.

Even if you don't like some workouts, keep doing them. They are there for a reason, if you begin modifying workouts you will get results slower.

The other reason might be for eating too little. How much calories are you having now? Are you following the nutrition guide?

If you are seeing it in your face that means you've lost a significant amount of fat. Given the fact that your weight remains the same, it also means that you've gained an equal amount of muscle. This is a good thing. Trust me, keep doing what you're doing and in the next 60 days you'll make excellent progress.

Hi,
I'm not exactly following the nutrition guide. I had the recovery drink but I need to buy another one. I pretty much eat healthy and whatever my mom makes. haha
