Hi,
I just completed the Insanity program yesterday. I need advice on what to do next. I'm thinking I would like to take a week and just do running everyday. I have felt great doing insanity and I used to run a lot. I've also thought about doing Insanity, but inserting running days and spreading it out to a 90 day program or so. I also have the P90X program, but I have never done it. I plan to do it, but I think I'd rather do Insanity again to lose some more fat as I don't really want to bulk up on P90X until I burn off some more fat.
Here's some more info about my Insanity results so far.
I have had really great results and I have been very happy with the results and the way I feel. I lost 7 lbs, most of which I lost in the the latter 1/2 of the program. Even better though, I lost over 4 inches around my stomach, and lost over 2" of fat on my waste and chest. I have tons of muscle definition all over my body and my upper legs got 2" bigger. I'm 47 and haven't been in this good of shape for 8 or 9 years.
I really could stand to lose another 10 or 15 lbs. These last two weeks of Insanity, I was really starting to drop weight fast. I'm much stronger, my recovery is faster, and my max calorie burn and max heart rate all have increased throughout the program. My knees were starting to get kind of sore the final week of the program. I'm thinking that I would continue to shed pounds if I do it again. Also, by starting over, I would go back to workouts that are less impact and my knees would feel better.

I think my knees were getting sore in the later weeks because I was able to do the jumps much better and longer where I typically didn't jump like that in the first 4 weeks. Maybe I should cut the high jumps down to save my knees?
What do you recommend? SHould I restart insanity? Do some running? P90X? What are the pros and cons of the different approaches? I really would like to try the Insanity Asylum workouts, but I think I should get stronger first by doing Insanity again.
I will really appreciate any thoughts you have to help me out.
Garrett
PS - tomorrow I take my "after" pictures to send in.
