p90x and posture problems...
Just curious if anyone with really bad posture did p90x and noticed a fix? I imagine that in general, getting in better shape and strengthening my core, would help my posture but I dunno. I'm 2 weeks in now and already noticing change especially in my midsection area as far as tightening up goes, but my posture is still bad.

I think I have a case of hyper-lordosis. Might not be on the extreme end, but I definitely think its there. Basically my upper back/shoulders are rounded/curved forward, my lower back curves in, and my butt sticks out. This also causes my gut to stick out. almost an s-shape from the top of my shoulders to the top of my butt. I dont think my shoulder slouch is that sever, but the inward curve on my lower back is. I heard there was some stretches that could help fix in it in as little as 3-4 weeks, dunno what they are though.

When I take my 30-day pics I'll take on from the side and get some opinions on it I guess.

Intersting....
I tore my rotator cuff a while back and while doing some
physio they told me my posture was bad too. They explained
that can happen when you gain muscle up top and your shoulders
start to drop. They even used tape to hold shoulders my shoulders back
and told me to leave it there for the day to get used to how my posture
should be. Since then I've really been concentrating on holding my shoulders back.
I too would be interested to hear from others on this subject.

From my experience... I've always had poor posture. Since strengthening my core, I find sitting/standing that way is uncomfortable. But poor posture is not just from weakness in the core, habit is also a factor. I'm finding that I'm needing to change my mind set more than anything to improve my posture.
