Getting a little frustrated..
Just wanted to stop by with my (un)accountability. My last workout was Wednesday (cardio recovery) I am having a really hard time squeezing my workouts in, between school, homework (so much homework), the husband who does not want to workout, and trying to keep the house somewhat in line. I feel like there just aren't enough hours in the day! I'm trying so hard to not give up on this program because I can both feel and see results already, and I just love the program, period. I just wish I had a more motivated workout buddy, or maybe I just need more motivation from somewhere, I don't know. I know it's a long shot, but is there anyone near Anchorage, AK who needs a workout buddy? Sorry to be the Debbie Downer of the night.

Im not from AK but i would love to help you out and give you daily motivation and accountability! I do have a facebook i post stuff on everyday. I would love to be that crutch you can lean on when it gets hard. I know how it is working 12 hour days and helping my family run a business. Its tough but i find ways to make time to be healthy and fit. If your interested let me know. I sent you a buddy request! emoticon

Hey. I've had the same issues when it comes to staying motivated. This may sound silly, but I've found that listening to music and watching a motivational video of some kind seems to give me a bit of a jolt when I'm feeling a little lazy. I have a youtube playlist devoted to motivating myself :-p. I usually spend a good fifteen minutes or so "mentally preparing" myself for the work out. I'm in my first round of insanity, second month, and staying motivated isn't always easy, despite loving the workout. I served in the military, and I realized quickly that the mental aspect of working out is a lot tougher than the physical aspect. Don't let your mind psyche you out :-).

Hi Maritza!

You started which is more than most! Great job! I know you can do this. Think about WHY you started. When do you workout? Morning? Evening? What are you studying? Class everyday?

If you are looking for a great group to workout out with come check out our motivational/support thread. Great people helping each other. Many are doing Insanity.

How long have you lived in AK?

Hey christina, I'm on day two, month two. Max interval plyo. Kicked my butt, but I love it. Lol it's a mental high for me. I actually hate the rest days now :-p

I know exactly what you mean, between work and school and being social I find it almost impossible. Then there is eating healthy and not making a poor fast food choice living in this fast pace society that is America.

My advice is to do it (depending on your work and school schedule) is either late at night or early in this morning when everyone is asleep. There needs to be a time of the day when it's just you and this workout and no distractions. I've been so hell bent on working out I actually did it on my lunch break. Lol Where there is a will there is a way, good job on being determined to stick with it. and if you need motivation I would love to lend a helping hand. emoticon
