I'l be finished my first month of Insanity today then go into the recovery week before hitting the really insane Month 2! I've not missed a day and have been eating pretty well - I don't eat any processed foods nor do I eat any sugar at all - I've been off sugar now for about 6 months. I'm not getting the results I expected in fact I almost feel like my clothes are tighter... can anyone give any advice? Perhaps I should be tweaking my diet, maybe I'm not eating enough? who knows! A typical day of eating would be a poached egg on organic rye toast, a cup of tea; morning tea is greek yoghurt with berries and shredded coconut, sometimes with some nuts and seeds; lunch is zucchini (courgette) slice with bacon, corn etc; afternoon snack maybe some cheddar cheese or a peice of toast with 100% natural peanut butter and then dinner is some protein with a salad or veges, maybe some brown rice or cous cous. What has been other people's experience?
Thanks - appreciate any comments

Hello. It looks like your not eating enough and not eating the right kinds of foods. Some of what your eating can hinder results. But to me, it looks like your not eating enough as well. Also most of your results will come in the second month of the program. If you need diet assistance let me know. Id be happy to help!

Thanks for that - I'll relook at my food intake and check the nutrition booklet that came with the program. I did wonder whether I was eating enough - nice for once to be told to eat more!!

I agree above that you need to eat more and defintely up your (healthy) proteins. Protein will shred fat but you still need the carbs for energy. Have you looked at the Michi's ladder? It will help you tremendously!

What has been said so far is definitely true! What you want to look at is how much you are taking in daily, utilize a free tool like myfitnesspal to really enter it in and then gauge what you should be eating! One thing to realize is that you will actually need a MINIMUM of 500 more calories on top of what you are normally supposed to have during month 2. It could really help us help you if you gave us your measurements. (Height & Weight), so we can really look at what you will need, and help you come up with a plan from there.

Wow - thanks everyone! I'm so used ot limiting carbs etc for weight loss it will take me a bit to turn that around. When I started a month ago I was 73kgs and am still 168cms emoticon (am Australian so you'll have to work out how that equates to your measurements!) Ideally I'm healthiest at 65kgs. This week is recovery so I've got a week to get my food sorted before I hit true insanity!!

I did find that Insanity recommended too much food, for me at least.
I had to reduce my carb intake by nearly 400 calories a day. They do the best they can in those nutrition guides, but they can still be specified more, for each person.
