Month 1 - no results?
Month 1 - no results?
2/3/13 9:43 AM
I've completed month one of Insanity and I'm now towards the end of the recovery week and I haven't lost any weight at all. I lost 120 pounds before starting Insanity and was hoping this would help me lose the last 20 pounds.

The workouts were hard so I was surprised when I weighed myself today and didn't see any difference. I didn't follow the insanity nutrition guide but I was careful with what I ate, made sure I stayed around 1,800-2,000 calories per day and made sure that I was getting enough protein.

I'll probably do my month one pictures and measurements tomorrow night and see if there's any improvement there. Is it possible that I won't start seeing results until month two?

I just finished my first month as well. I found that even though I haven't lost weight, my body shape has changed. It definitely feels like the weight I have essentially got redistributed in different parts of my body. Muscle weight and such. I don't think it's a bad thing. Don't be a slave to the scale. I go off of how a feel and how my body is changing. I wouldn't stress over it yet. Let your body do what it does best, and the changes will come in time. But hey I'm not a coach or anything lol, just going off of my experiences in the past :-p

Just because you are not seeing a difference in weight does not mean you are making improvements, this burn fat and builds muscle and remember muscle weights more than fat so you could just be replacing it and from what I have seen in my days of doing insanity, you don't drop weight like you did when you were heavier. But what I have lost in fat I've gained in muscle. Everyone's body is different though but the fit test doesn't lie, if you can do more than you did on day one or day 15 that right there tells you are getting in shape.
Don't let the scale bring you down, just stay strong and keep t it. (congrats on losing the 120lbs by the way!) emoticon

There is a total possibility that you lost inches and not weight. Alot of times when starting a new program like this you wont start losing weight until weeks 5 and on. Its very normal. There could be something in your diet that could be holding you back. Since you only have 20lbs to go you really need to tighten up on your diet. Id be happy to assist you if you need it! emoticon
