I am starting the Ultimate Reset on February 7th for the second time, and have a Challenge Group with some people starting on the 7th and/or 10th. If you would like to do the Reset with me and a few other people either here, in my private Facebook group, or both, please let me know.

It takes planning and commitment to stick to this program, which is why support is so important to keep each other motivated and accountable. Are you ready to kick some bad habits and lose some weight?

My husband and I both completed the Reset in 2012. Between us we lost 21 pounds and changed our eating habits. My purpose in doing it again is to "Reset" before I start Les Mills Combat in March.

My husband and I are starting Mon. 2/11, I would to join you here to share challenges/encouragements. This will be our first time completing the Ultimate Reset. We started p90X last year, saw great results but have since "fallen off the wagon". We are both looking to start our p90 routine back up and are completing the Ultimate Reset to hopefully help us really make a true lifestyle change!!

Hi EdiRN! Welcome to the Group!
I hope you and your husband achieve your goals with the Reset. It can be completely life changing. Are you looking to lose weight or to address specific health issues?
Having done the Reset once already, here is the best advice I can offer you:
Go through the menus for each week - you can double up on some of the meals (lentil lime salad, quinoa, oatmeal, etc.) to save you a little time.
If you haven't already been added to the BB Reset Facebook Groups for each phase, you can both friend request me on Facebook (Deborah Butts Wooldridge), let me know who you are, and I'll add you to each of the 4 groups (Phases 1-3 and post-).
When you're feeling out of it, drinking water water water is the best remedy.
I look forward to following you here and seeing your results.

Day 2!
I still can't believe how much food we have to eat in this program!! I love all the meals today!
Around 3pm I started feeling very lightheaded...to the point where I really thought I was going to pass out. So I caved in and ate a bunch of sunflower seeds and a small piece of chocolate. Having just come off a holiday weight gain, I think the cold turkey off of sugar was just catching up to me. I kept drinking water as well and tried to get to bed as early as possible.
Hoping tomorrow will be lightheaded free!
I'm down .5 lbs so the motivation to keep it up is still there!!

How's your day 2 going? Feeling headaches, fatigue, or aches and pains? Then try drinking more water and incorporate stretching into your day! Days 3–5, as your body adjusts to the Ultimate Reset, can be particularly challenging. "Tired" can really mean "detoxing." Listen to your body. Don't push. And when you can, sleep.

Day 3!
Your body temperature may fluctuate during your Reset, so you might feel colder than usual. Always keep a sweater with you! If you're feeling cold, bundle up, move your body (without strain), practice deeper breathing, or drink warm herbal tea. Know that this temporary coldness is normal. Your body is cleansing, directing blood and energy away from your extremities and toward your internal organs.

Welcome to Day 3!
I woke up with a little back soreness. Not sure if this is from the Reset or my Fit Club Plyocide workout on Wednesday. At any rate, my eating times were a little screwed up because we went to a concert tonight and I didn't want to eat there and when I go home I needed to chauffeur someone out so didn't eat dinner til 10:30!! I didn't have the ingredients for the "sushi" so I made yesterday's beans and rice with some asparagus. Didn't drink all my water today so I'll make up for that tomorrow.
I'm down 1 pound so that's incentive enough for me to keep going.
What's your biggest challenge so far?

We are looking to lose weight but the main goal is to create a life style change. My husband does have chronic inflammatory aches and pains and I suffer from mild IBS so having read others responses to the Reset we are very excited to see what types of benefits we will see. I am not on facebook so I will be checking the message board daily. Thanks for the water tip!!

You will definitely lose weight..it just depends on how much you have to lose. The first time around I lost 7, but my husband lost 14!!
I'm confident you'll have some good results with the IBS and hopefully the inflammation as well. In any case, I'll be following you, and am here if you have any questions or concerns.

Welcome to day 4!
My schedule was all over the place, so as I sit here at midnight eating Miso soup, I need to keep a check on myself over the weekends or the time just gets away from me! I switched around some meals for convenience sake - this is ok as long as you are only having the fish and chicken once this week. Don't repeat those.
I drank all my water and had some pita chips as I was visiting a sick friend in the afternoon. (It was better than the alternative red velvet cake!) Am preparing my oatmeal and quinoa now so as not to be so hurried the next few days. I am almost 2 pounds down and still need to find my bracelet grrrr....
The good news is no aches or pains today...and not terribly fatigued.

Morning 1- breakfast was very filling. Not drinking while eating was more difficult than I expected so that will be a change for us. Hardest part right now is getting through the morning without my coffee....

I know what you mean about the drinking during meals. I always did that! That was hard for me at first, and then maintaining that habit up after the Reset. But if I know that I can't have anything to drink it's like a mental rule ingrained in my head so it doesn't seem so hard anymore.
RE: Coffee, that's what a lot of people have a hard time with. You may experience caffeine withdrawl headaches at the start, but they will eventually subside. I was never a big coffee drinker myself but I totally sympathize with you.

Day 5 tip
Do you know the 20–30 Rule?
It means drink no water 20–30 minutes before a meal (only with your supplements 30 mins before meal) and chew each mouthful of food 20–30 times. Drinking liquids can dilute digestive acids and considerably slow your digestion. When food takes too long to go through your system, it may ferment or putrefy, causing digestive problems.

Welcome to day 6!
I have more energy today so I might start some light workouts this week (YogaX) to see how that works out. It doesn't feel right for me not working out at all :0
My eating today was good...even though the timing was a little off. Too many meetings today at work!
I didn't try the Tempeh last time around, but I'm going to give it a go for breakfast tomorrow. I'm a little more prepared for breakfast and lunch tomorrow. When I don't prepare the night before I get stuck in the kitchen in the morning and I run late! I'm learning my lesson...again.

Day 4!!

We did the Tempah Nori Rolls last night, traditionally we love rolls, I was not a huge fan of these rolls and the preparation (especially for someone who has never made their own rolls) took a very loooong time. My husband works evenings several nights this week so the food preparation has been a big challenge and very time consuming- making the entire day the night before- but we are hanging in there.

The headaches have subsided but I love coffee and and iced tea so I am going to try some herbal tea today to see if it fulfills my craving.

We found the teriyaki tempah very salty tasting so I am interested to try the other recipies with tempah.

Day 5!!

Today wasn't too bad. Warm herbal tea helped me get through the morning- I have noticed I am colder than usual throughout the day. I was craving something sweet last night so I curbed that with a handful of frozen grapes- I was surprised that I was satisfied by this! Tomorrow morning is Tempah for breakfast, we will be trying it.... there is always oatmeal as a back-upemoticon
