Hello

If you need support, I'd be glad to help you along the way and answer any questions you might have. I did the Reset last year and will be doing it again at the end of this year.

I'm always here to help support everyone and help them achieve their goals.

I am doing it again soon (I did it in July) and work with a few people who just started. Have you tried the reset support groups Beachbody has? Happy to answer any questions .

Cheers!

whats up! I am starting on that day as well, I just created a thread for it but I will delete it and just post in here!

I just got everything in the mail this morning.

I finished reading the guide so it looks like I just need to compile a list tonight and then go to the store tomorrow.

I have a water distiller coming in the mail so I will need to buy a few gallons of distilled water to use until that gets here.

One question I have is about food substitution for beets. What can be substituted for beets? I gag every time I try to eat them. After a quick inspection of the food list, that is about the only thing I am going to really have trouble with.

Hi! Did you find the full shopping lists for each phase? You can get them from the portal. That way you don't need to make a list. I can send them to you if you can't find them.

If you don't want the beets, just sub in a different dinner from that week. My husband did not like the beets either. I did the reset in July so happy to answer any questions.

The Reset is hard at times, but very worth it!

Cheers!

Half way through day 1

So far no real complaints, the optimize gel caps don't even leave any funny burp up taste or anything.

eating without a drink is odd

I enjoyed my salad for lunch more than I was expecting to. It was very filling with all the extra veggies thrown in on top of the lettuce.

I also was impressed at how well my salad dressing turned out. I made a batch of the basic vinaigrette and it was delicious.

in about an hour and a half I am going to take my first shot of alkalinize...we'll see how that goes.

some good meals and no major issues with the supplements or water intake.

my water distiller showed up and I have it busy pumping out water now (First batch gets dumped but after that it is about .35 per gallon to make). It cost $1.25/gal at the store so at .90 savings, this thing will have paid for itself in about 278 gallons. At the rate the 2 people in this house drink water that should be sometime in mid-November.

I guess I won't be retiring early.

this is what a distilled water factory looks like!

Going forward I will be putting the tap water through the brita first and then into the distiller to try to cut down on some of the scaling.

I can't even believe how much crap is in my tap water! This was just plain tap water without a brita filter.

I really hope the brita water comes back a lot cleaner than that!

that is nasty!

Day 2 is moving along, just finished my 3rd big glass of water after alkalinization.

I am going to try the first session of Tai Cheng to stretch and move around a little because I started feeling a little woogy about an hour after lunch today.

I am guessing this is the flu/cold symptoms thing people seem to mention.

is it normal to feel like you have drymouth after drink this much water?

am I not putting enough salt in the water? I pour a big glass and put about 10-15 shakes into it and stir.

I have to say I am not super pleased with the lunch for day 3.

4 hours of prep time is not something that is doable for lunch unless you put something on day 2 to say hey BTW...if you really want to eat lunch tomorrow you better start working on it now.

I ended up not having enough time to stay on track and so I skipped lunch today and had a strawberry shakeology with almond milk.

Might be a good idea to add a 'Next Day Prep' section to the guide for days when there are recipes that take over a half hour to prepare.

I did start cooking the lentils and getting them going so I can have them tomorrow.

Day 3 is in the books.

I have to say today was a little tough. Food preparation was the issue of the day.

My sushi tasted good but it fell apart and I ended up eating it with a fork.

I am hoping I do a better job tomorrow. Definitely not an easy set of dishes to make today. I'm trying and hanging in there.

Looking forward to tomorrow's breakfast and dinner...lunch...not so much...lol

Today is Day 5 for me!!!

I agree the Sushi was not easy to make, mine fell apart tooemoticon and actually think I would have enjoyed better without the tempah. The Miso soup was awful, almost made me lose my appetite, not sure if I got the wrong kind of Miso or what but I couldn't finish it.

The food prep is definitely something that should come as a warning.... maybe add a food prep and cook time to each of the recipes. I agree with the post about putting a reminder in there to 'make a little extra'.

I have spent at least 2 hours a night trying to get lunch and dinner prep done for the next night, so I am a little frustrated with this part.

I have read posts where people say they have lost weight by this point but i have not (I'm 5'7", 160lb. so I'm not one of those skinny girls who has none to lose....lol). I am actually surprised I haven't due to the decrease in food intake and the amount of greenery I am consuming.

Tomorrow is Tempah for breakfast, not sure how I feel about this but going to give it a whirl.... there's always oatmeal as a back up just in case emoticon

Day 4 Lunch:

Much better attempt than last night!

Sushi Tips (not that I am any good, but this was a better attempt):
1) Use warm/sticky rice (vs cold/out of fridge pre-cooked rice)
2) don't try to force too much into the roll.
3) SHARPEN YOUR BLADE, this will help avoid tearing when you cut the sushi
4) transfer the sushi roll to the plate before trying to cut it!
5) Don't try to slice the sushi pieces too thin

Also, I noticed some hash marks on the nori and I was going with that grain when rolling, but now that I am thinking about it...maybe you are supposed to roll AGAINST that grain and use those hash marks for where you cut the sushi!?

Lentil Lime Salad:
I am using split green peas instead of green lentils since they were out of them at the store. Not a huge fan, hoping the green lentil version will be better.

Looking forward to trying Quinoa tonight for dinner!

Day 5 was fairly uneventful.

Food was delicious, I am getting used to some of the recipes and ingredients so I am getting faster and better each time.

Did Day 2 of Tai Cheng to move everything around and get blood flowing a little.

Was a great little day.

Going to finish up the week with a nice Epsom Salt Bath Soak before hitting the sack.

Beginning of day 5

Wow, sounds like things are going well for you. I am really struggling. I think if I see another cucumber I am going to scream. I started one day after you, so I hope today is a better day. Not very hungry this morning but wiped out. Trying to force feed myself breakfast so I can get some fuel in me.
