p90x 1 round of p90x best supplements

hi guys,

not sure if I have the right section but I'll give it a shot.

After maybe a year or two I finally decided I'm going to go through with p90x.

My question is about supplemental.

I was about to order the recovery drink but for my busy lifestyle eating in the morning is almost not a option. I usually go with a protein shake in the morning, maybe one in the afternoon, and one after workout. (if I know for sure I'll be working out I wont take it in the afternoon)

Now Is this enough for me? Would taking the whey protein shake after p90x be better for me or go with the recovery drink?

If I get the recovery Drink can I still take the whey protein? or is it one or the other? (I always take my protein with skim milk)

I'm a complete noob when it comes to this whole nutrition stuff But I'm trying my best to get the hang of it.

I only completed my first week so Any help would be greatly appreciated please!

Hello, congrats on starting P90X!

You can take both whey and the recovery drink if you wish. You dont need the recovery drink. Its for convenience purposes. If you already have whey you can take that instead. Just toss some fruit in there with it or eat a banana. But the recovery drink is definitely a nice supplement! Hope this helps!

It is on the expensive side but I like the Shakeology in the morning for the nutrients and it is part of my quick and easy breakfast to go.

I drink a whey protein shake as my recovery drink at night post work out and this has been great for me with energy and keeping soreness at bay.

I don't know that I would drink as many as 3 protein shakes a day. Some have additives that are less good for you in higher concentrations.

Breakfast isn't required, if you're busy, just drink water. Save your calories for post workout and have whole foods.

If it's convenient, recovery drink is a good option to help pick you right back up after a workout. Whey protein will also suffice.

The key with nutrition is tracking calories and macros. Make it easy with a tracker app like myfitnesspal.

I prefer to eat 2 big meals a day, and a 3rd which I use for Shakeology. This way I'm not spending all day cooking.

You can use either your whey shake or a recovery drink. But I think 3 protein shakes a day is excessive. Look for more whole and natural ways to get your protein. Lean meats, fish, etc.
