Insanity, 2nd month. Not sure I'm ready. Suggestions
Hi everyone,

Just wanted to get opinions from the Insanity veterans out there. I finished the first month of Insanity about a week ago and followed that up with the week of Recovery. I am scheduled to start the next phase of the 60 day program this coming week. My results were decent (12 lbs lost, a couple of inches off the waist). However, I have a concern. The first 4 weeks of workouts were tough. In fact, even into the last week they were still tough for me and I found myself taking more breaks in order to finish the entire workout session. I just took a look at the 1st workout for the next phase of the program, The Max Interval Circuit, and it looks really tough. I'm afraid that if I was still struggling to go through the 1st four weeks of workout without taking extra breaks, I don't know if I'm ready for the next set of workouts.

I was wondering if it might be worth me going through the next 4 weeks doing the 1set of DVDs again to try and improve my endurance even more before moving on the these MAX workouts. I don't want to plateau, but I also don't want to take an excessive amount of time to do the DVDs because of having to take more breaks.

Just curious what some of you think?

You response is appreciated.

I think you're on to a good idea. The Max workouts are harder, but not "insanely" harder. Mostly, they're just longer! If you need breaks on the Month 1 workouts, then its a good idea to keep doing them until you do not need breaks anymore.

Let that be your goal...doing the month 1's without needing breaks. That's a good sign you can move on.

Mr. Hudgins, I appreciate you taking the time to reply. I was thinking along the lines of what you said regarding doing the workouts with the goal of less breaks. I'd like to get to the point of being in sync with just taking the 30 sec breaks Shaun T gives them on the DVDs. It's a great program and I know as I continue to sure up my nutrition plan, I'll move onto the Max workouts and even into the Asylum series.

Thanks again!
