Help for a P90x new buyer
Help for a P90x new buyer
2/9/13 10:41 PM
Hi I recently bought a P90x, and am planning to star soon, but first I need some help and advices.

- I am 22 years old, and have always practiced sports, also I am used to go to the gym although not always. My problem is I am really skinny, in fact I have a very small amount of fat (around 5%) so I wanted to know if P90x may be able to help me out to bulk up a little and algo gain some muscle definition.

- My other issue is with the nutrition plan I am really picky with the food I eat so for me its almost impossible to follow the nutrition plan exactly as I don't like most of the food on it. If I take care of eating well should that be enough for me to see results or the nutrition plan is strictly necessary?

- When I used to go to the gym I drank Syntha 6 proteins for muscle recovery and that stuff, should I keep drinking it? Do I need something else?

- My other problem is that I only have a regular straight chinup bar on my door frame, and I could see that the P90X bar is much more complex and allows many more grip positions. Is the regular bar have enough to perform P90X or I need the other one? I ask this because I really dont know if I have a place to install that bar.

Thank you very much for your help and sorry if my english was bad, but it's not my primary language.

What is your primary language? You seem to be doing very well with english. To answer your questions. Yes you can add muscle with P90X, it's all about how much you eat. If you are skinny and need to pack on some mass you'll need to eat more. To do this I suggest you subscribe to an application like Myfitnesspal.com and track your calorie intake.

As for the nutrition plan, no you dont need to follow it, most of the people I help don't follow it. You just need to track your calories and adjust your macros accordingly. For you I would suggest 50% carbs 30% protein and 20% healthy fats. Eat what you like as long as its clean and you'll do great!

You can still drink Syntha 6 protein or you can use the P90X Results & Recovery formula, it contains more than just protein and it has the proper mix to help you recover fast and effectively.

You will be fine with your regular chinup bar as P90X doesnt have any neutral grip pullups. In the videos they use a regular straight bar. If you want a P90X bar they sell them on this site or you can get it off ebay. On ebay it will be a knock off and be careful because the quality might not be the same.

If you need any more help feel free to ask, I am here to help you. Feel free to send me a buddy request if you want to chat privately, if not I will continue to answer your questions here.

Have a nice day emoticon
