Slipped up:(
Slipped up:(
2/10/13 5:51 AM
As usual I passed out on the floor after my evening workout, and waking up in the middle of the night I had this uncontrollable urge to eat so I ate a piece and a half of skinless Banquet chicken before passing out in my bed. I was doing so good, but find it hard cooking for my eight year old and not being tempted. What can i do? He doesn't eat much and I put on a lot of weight eating leftovers because it's just the two of us. I looked at the box and it said 200 calories per piece

HI,

The first thing: It's done, move on and dont dwell on it. Learn from it.

Second: Plan ahead. Plan your meals each day, and as much as possible include your 8 yo in on what you cooking for yourself. Instead of Banquet chicken make some skinless, boneless chicken breasts that will last you a few days.

Roasted veggies and whole wheat pasta. etc.

Pack your lunches and snacks for the day too.

Also, use a recovery drink after working out, to help recover and not pass out on the floor after your workout.

I agree with Donna about not dwelling on it. The worst thing we can do when we slip up, is to see ourselves as going back to zero and using it as an excuse to continue to slip up. You are still making progress and tomorrow is a new day! If I ate a cookie, I ate a cookie - I can correct it with an extra workout, or taking it from my calorie allowance elsewhere. If I think one cookie was a total failure and then eat the whole box, that's not going to help

That has to be hard with an eight year old, but you're doing good and don't let slip ups get you down! Being a fit healthy mom is the best gift you can give to your son emoticon We all have slip-ups and as long as we move beyond them and work to resist them in the future, we'll be okay.

Thank you. I just read this and it still encourages me. I found that as I have continued my health plan I don't have as many slip ups. I am retraining my mind to know that is not good for me. I am also feeling less hungry. Have a blessed day and thank you for everything.

I went to taco bell with my brother. He got food there. I was VERY VERY Tempted to get something.

Just tell yourself NO.
JUST SAY NO.
thats what I did.

I just thought about why I am doing P90x and just said no.
otherwise whats the point?

Doing this is not signing a contract saying you will never eat bad food again. Just that you should eat healthier. It could be ok to have a cheat day once in awhile. but if you want that summer beach body then you have to work for it.

Cheers
