I just joined teambeachbody & I'm excited to start a new journey.
I have started eating really healthy these past two months. I don't do much exercises, I was wondering what's the best program to start off with to lose my stomach fat? I want to tone up my legs and underarms, what is the best fitness program to start off with?

So what are your fitness goals? Do you want to lose weight or just shape up? Do you want certain muscles defined? What do you hope to achieve?
If you can answer those questions, that will help you determine which program is best!

Hi, well I think I first want to lose weight around my stomach, I have some love handles which I want to get rid off, legs (they rub a little) and work around my back (I want to work hard to lose the back sausages )and finally work in my underarms. They jiggle a little. I was wondering is that a tone up workout for my underarms? Hopefully by doing a fitness program I can get in a good shape.
& Sure I will love to have a workout buddy to start my new fitness journey!

Well, you can't target certain areas for fat burn. Your body will burn fat where it wants too. That's why most any beachbody program is going to focus on your full body.

Insanity and P90X are both great intro programs. They are both hard, but if you stick with it and work hard on your nutrition you'll see great results.

I'll start off with P90X Extreme Training program. I will commit to this fitness program, I do want to be fit and see results as well. Thank you for the advice!

I am doing Insanity and love it - but both programs will give you great results!! Make sure you work on your nutrition with the program!

One advice i can give you is if this is your first program, don't go with P90X or Insanity right away as you might hurt yourself or fall off the wagon if you find the program to hard.

Personnaly i would recommend Turbofire or Chalean Extreme. The choice of program is up to you but i suggest you look at the different program video before buying and choose one you that feel you can stick to and will enjoy.

I would have one concern about starting off with P90X. From your first post, I got the impression that you have not been working out for a while. The "X" in P90X stands for extreme and is meant as an advanced program. As a someone just starting out, it may seem extra tough and too much. I have a friend in a similar situation, having not worked out in a long time and trying to lose weight, so I recommended Les Mills Pump. The thing I like about that program is that they start you off with easier workouts and build to the more intense workouts as time goes by.

You've already gotten some good advice and observations about what the different workout programs will do. I just wanted to ask:

What program does your Coach suggest you start with?

Being new to Beachbody, I am sure that a coach has been assigned to you by the company, and that is the person you will be working most closely with as you progress toward your health and fitness goals. Your coach is a resource, a workout buddy, and your #1 cheer-leader. Make sure that you take advantage of this component of the Beachbody experience.

I agree that you might want to start with one of the easier programs like Power 90 or even 10-Minute Trainer.

Hi! So happy for you making the decision to get fit. I've been doing Turbo Fire for the past two months and have lost 15 pounds. I agree, talk to your coach. I started out with Power 90 and got great results. It is a nice way to transition into working out again.

I agree with what everyone has said here. I wouldn't start off with P90X or Insanity if you haven't been very active lately. Those programs are more for the people that have started somewhere else, they're pretty extreme for a starting point. However there's nothing stopping you and if you think you can do it and stick with it then you are certain to get results. Just remember to stick with it

I've got to agree with Dominic and AdStaffAndrew. Insanity and P90X will get you results. But the programs are so high intense that you MIGHT loss interest. I would suggest ChaLEAN Extreme or Power 90. A combination of strength and cardio will get you the results you want. Combine any program with great nutrition, you'll be rocking it!

Anything that gets you moving and gets the heart rate up will help you in losing weight.

Plus it's 80% nutrition and 20% workout; do you something you love to do. Football, biking etc or you could hit the gym and do some HIIT that wil burn fat and build muscle.

I personally started off with P90, P90X and slowly move from there. But now I just use the program's designed on [deleted] it's free and it's easy with videos, nutrition and supplements and great articles on there on how to keep fit and what nutrition you need to sustain muscle growth or fat loss.

I reckon you could try doing this program from one of the bb.com trainers with over 5million views.

I started with P90X and loved it, it is a 90 day commitment. I am currently doing Les Mills Combat which is so fun and fast, that is only 60 days. Good Luck and congratulations taking control!
