Starting P90x and Nutrition Plan
So I want to start doing p90x program soon to gain weight and/or muscle. I'm 28, 5'9 and 150. Looking at the Beach Body calculator I would need to eat need around 2400 calories daily. I was looking at the nutrition guide but It seems hard to follow exactly their plan ( too much food and groceries). Do you guys have any recommendation for me? I can do stuff like chicken, protein supplements, salmon, tuna, shrimp, steaks, eggs, omelets, fruits, etc.

Hello Ceaguila, i just did some quick calculation and your maintenance calorie is 2600. Based on that, to gain muscle mass i would aim for 3000 calories per day and use macros of 30% Protein / 50% Carbs / 20% Fat.

As to reach your calories and protein target try to get healthy food in and stay away from simple carbs.

Good protein source i like: chicken breast, eggs and egg white, tuna, shrimp, fish, tofu, nuts, etc...

Good complex carbs : Oats, quinoa, barley, vegetables, etc..

Drink a lot of water, your body will need it to recover.

One good advise is to eat 3 meals and 3 snacks per day. Eat your breakfast! That way it is pretty easy to get 3000 calories when you have a lot of snacks. You will only need 500 calories per snacks/meals to reach your calorie goals at the end of the day.
