A little about me...
My whole life I have been struggling with my weight. I might lose a few pounds, only to gain it back a few months later. I would workout, but never stuck to a schedule. I never knew what good nutrition was until I started P90X in January 2012.
My first round of P90X, I started at 272 lbs and got down to about 232. I lowered my calories way down to 1900 at this time. A lot lower than I should of, but I was more concerned about weight than anything else. During this time, I also started utilizing Shakeology, and have been ever since. I did take a week off due to being sick, but just redid that week to make up for it.
After a week off and a few more pounds down, I started Insanity in April 2012. Went from 228 to about 213. The first month I struggled, not necessarly to complete the workouts, but with nutrition. I was use to the 1900 calories, and it just wouldn’t fly with Insanity. Over the last few weeks of Insanity, my calories were up to 2900, and that is when I saw the greatest results. You can see more about my tips with Insanity here:
Insanity ExperienceI did end up losing a lot of fat towards the end, about 15 inches total.
Took a few more much needed weeks off and started a P90X/Insanity hybrid at 208 lbs in early July 2012, and finished at about 192 lbs.
I just finished a P90X/P90X+ hybrid last week. Went down to 182.8 lbs, giving me a total of 90 lbs lost! I am pretty much at my ideal weight now, but looking to tone up, gain some muscle. I also wanted something new, something fresh. I enjoy resistance workouts, so here I am, starting Body Beast, hoping for the best results I can possibly achieve!
Here is my January 2012 picture at 272.8 lbs, and my most recent picture, from last week, after my P90X/P90X+ hybrid. 13 months of hard work. still have a ways to go, but definitely on the right track!
