Adding pounds to a petite frame?
Okay so I have a co-worker who actually wants to get fat so to say, or rather gain pounds. She is extremely petite and skinny but she is not anorexic or behlemic, in fact all I see this girl eating is Taco bell and any other fast food you can think of. SHe was telling me the other day she has been wanting to gain weight because she is tired of looking like a twig, I asked her what her eating habits were like and she quoted "I eat healthy on average but I also eat a ton of fast food inbetween." She also told me she even experiemented to see if she would gain any weight and in the course of 6 hours she ate a dozen jelly filled glazed donuts from Dunkin Donuts. She said she gained a pound and a half and it was gone the very next day.
This girl is always eating and it amazes me she burns it off so quickly. She said she is not the least bit unhealthy that she went to the doctor last month and said she was perfectly fine. SHe turned to me for advice but I didn't know what to tell her about trying to gain weight when Mcdonalds and Burger king fail.

Does anyone know the answer to this? I want to say her metabolism is way above normal but I am stumped, what is a safge and healthy way to gain some pounds?

Also keep in mind she works three days a week at a dogtrack where it requires jogging (Pretty much light cardio) and three days a week she is a dance instructor for small children and inbetween that she is also going to school and we all know that between a busy week like this it can wreack havoc on the way we eat.

I would say this :

1) depending on his weight/height/age, up her calories. Not just one day, but in general. She might begin with 2,500 daily( i wouldn't know exactly) to see what happens
2) change her macro ratios . Have her on 30/60/20, 30% prot/60% carbs/10% fat.
3) Lift weights.

Hmmm I will let her know on this feedback HOWEVER.. I',m not sure how she will feel about lifting weights, she is looking to add curves to her figure, not really muscle.
