Looking for a group of dedicated individuals that are looking to start February 25th or the following week.

I am finishing Insanity on Sunday, and looking to hit P90x or a hybrid starting Monday.

Let me know if you are interested.

I am finishing up insanity tonight! Well technically tomorrow with the Fit Test.

Starting a Hybrid on Monday - so it's the same thing, except I am going to be using the Insanity dvds instead of the cardio, plyo, kenpo. And I am going to be using cardio recovery from insanity instead of the yoga. Maybe I will do 45 mins of the yoga or yoga on my rest day - but I work out at 5AM and I really cannot go over a little longer than a hour.

I have my resistance bands - bodylastics. I wish I got the kit with the anywhere anchor, but I will make it work with the door anchor. I will be working out the next 2 weeks in a hotel stairwell, and 1-2 guys come through sooo when the door opens I don't want to get hurt with the band ha. I will figure something out. I also will need to wheel a chair out there.

I will be eating healthy, but not following the nutrition guide super strictly. There's no way I can get the 50% protein goals. I usually manage a 50% carb, 35% protein, 15% fat diet. I travel constantly and I have very limited space, or I would get some whey. I might get some whey again when I settle down for 1-2 weeks.

I will be using
-Shakeology
-P90x results and recovery formula
-Energy and Endurance

I will look through the nutrition guide again, but I will prob float around 2100 calories. I am used to eating 2400 from month 2 of insanity. I also do P.T 3x a week, 45 minute sessions.

I really did tone my entire body up with insanity - I didn't necessarily drop the fat though. And that's okay.

I will know my final results tomorrow from insanity. I am bloated though, so they will keep varying.

I am looking to lose about 10 lbs of fat with p90x, and anything more than 5 will be okay.

P.S my stats - 23 year old female, 5'10" 163lbs (2 weeks into month 2 of insanity) played hockey my entire life, traveling volunteer. My biggest obstacle, food on a very limited budget, limited space, constant travel for the next 4 months.

But I did it for 2 months with insanity, so I can do this too.

Hey All,

I'll join you all as well. I started today so I'll just be a few days ahead of you.
C&B + Ab Ripper X went good. I knocked out 160 pushups throughout the workout and can feel everyone of them haha. I only did 15 unassisted pull-ups and the rest I had to use a chair. Hopefully this will get better as I go along but I'm sure it's not easy pulling up 218 pounds! Good luck everyone!!!

First day of P90x day!!! Chest and Back, and Ab Ripper .

I'm "sick" from work today in my hotel, so I get to work out at 11 AM instead of 5 , but tomorrow and the next 3 months will be at 5 AM.

Im wondering about where my calories should be. The book has me at level 2, 2400. I still have about 10 lbs im looking to lose. I might bring it down a bit and see what happens. 3 times a week, I have an extra pt session so il lstill up my calories on those days.

Time to take my Energy and Endurance and get my results and recovery ready. Im excited for my first p90x!

Hi!

I started p90x today. I've done Insanity and 2 rounds of Chalean Extreme. So far, I'm not that impressed but hey, it's only been one workout. I wish they would have had a "beginner" in this workout so I would know how I did (thank goodness I'm not a REAL beginner). I felt all the girl wanted to do was one-up the guys. Not really appropriate - just my opinion. But I will push on as I've done before. Will have to do abs tonight.

Good luck everyone!

Here's my P90x Day 1 Run down

I was definitely psyched up to start today.

I have never used resistance bands before, so it was a little hard to figure out which resistance to use for the various exercises and to switch it around so much. In Insanity, shaun t shows you the move before you do it - tony just jumps into it. So i wasnt used to just being expected to perform right away.

Some of the moves were harder with the resistance bands, the back fly and the lawn mower were weird for me. The pull ups worked well in my hotel room, but it will prove to be challenging on every other day because I stayed home sick today - the hotel stairwell has a door, but theres 2-3 people that come through in the morning. Im afraid they will open the door, and I will be smacked in the head with the resistance band. Eeeek, i feel like I am just waiting for it to happen.

The warm up - the warm up was 100x easier than insanity. I was like woah, um, this is a warm up? I miss insanity's warm up and stretch. But it was a nice little breather from the craziness of shaun t.

I find myself being able to laugh more with tony. I like that that the one guys uses bands, and tony makes a point to say something about his form each time.

This was a hard dvd for me because I have little to no upper body strength. But i did the best that i could - just did my best and forgot the rest.

I went onto ab ripper - and i Dreaded it, not because it was hard, but because my abs STILL hurt from insane abs last week. So by rep 5 of the first move, I was burning so bad. But I guess my lower abs really needed a wake up call. Insane abs gave it to me, and I look forward to ab ripper 3x a week.

As far as my HRM goes - I burned 549 calories in the hour and 20 minutes. Which I really like. Insanity burns more in a quicker amount of time, but with p90x I feel like i am going to feel less burn out. It wont take as much energy the entire time through.

Mentally, I feel like insanity was much more of a challenge. But i needed a break from that. And i really need to get my strength up.

I just had my results and recovery formula, so well see if I am sore tomorrow. I need to adjust my weights to really feel the burn on those last 3 reps of so. Today, i just wanted to get my moves down and feel it out.

Tomorrow is plyometrics -aka INSANITY PLYO CARDIO CIRCUIT!! yayayaa. I miss the insanity month 1 dvds - I am excited to see how I do tomorrow!

CoachBrie - I started this morning (gosh, I suck at pull-ups). Have dabbled with different variations and modifications of this program, but finally anxious to commit in full, and would love to join the group!

I purchased my P90x kit yesterday and am looking to get started today as well.

I am a little nervous as some people say you should wait at least a week or two to start after you purchase it. But, I am really anxious to get started! Will there be a problem with this? Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks!

I started C&B today also. Three years ago I did P90X for the first time and lost 74 pounds in 5 months then over the past 2 and a half years I have slowly put on weight. I got on wowy today hoping to find new motivation so I'm in for the next three months and beyond.

sAs long as you have all of your materials, theres no reason you can't go right into it!

Make sure you look through the nutrition guide - calculate your daily calories, and understand the guide. Figure out what level you are, I am directly in between Level 1 and Level 2 so Im going for about 2100 calories a day. I did 2100-2400 in insanity.

Make sure you have all of your supplements, and your pull up bar or resistance bands. If you have all healthy foods in your house and your plans for success, definitely go right into it! That's my opinion. Feel free to ask us anything here, or to private message me

P90x results and recovery formula

Are you guys using this? I highly recommend it if you aren't.

It really helps to reduce the soreness, and I can't imagine working out without it.

If you have any questions about this recovery drink, ask me here or private message me.

It tastes to good too =]

For those that use it, what do you honestly think about it??

I have used it in the past - tastes great and definitely helps with recovery. However, I stopped using it due to the heavy dose of simple sugars and the "dash" of creatine, which I am not a fan of. Switched to a homemade smoothie w/nonfat yogurt, frozen berries, scoop of whey, and pure cranberry juice.
