Max plyo, too many press ups!
Does anyone else think this?

My upper body is weak (only managed 6 push up jacks my first fit test lol) and I don't think month one gives you enough upper body strength to do this workout. There's squat push ups, v push ups, power push ups, side push ups, balance push ups and about 64 normal push ups. That's a crazy amount for one routine! I can only manage a few normal push ups so don't feel like I get the most out of this workout and spend half my time being angry at it :-/

Is there anything else people would recommend I do instead? I hate this workout purely because of the above!

Thanks guys x

Instead of suggesting a different workout may I suggest a different tactic for the pushups.

Don't worry about going real deep on the pushups, instead go for explosive power. Once you are down as far as you can reasonably go to get back to the top then push as hard as you can to explode back to the top. In my experience this method really helps develop the strength to do more pushups. The depth will get better as strength improves.

Good luck

Max Plyo is the Beast of the Apocalypse. I hate this workout. And I agree, the pushups are insane.
I think the best approach is simply to do as many as you are able.
