I am on Week 3 in P90X Classic on the Fat Shredder Diet.

Now when i first started, the first two weeks, i was figuring out what would work best for me, trying to figure out a sufficient diet plan to fit a 50% protein, 30% Carbs, and 20% Fats ratio.

Until this week i finally was able to sustain a 50/30/20 ratio, or numbers pretty close to that ratio.

My question is, since i kind of screwed up my diet plan first two weeks, can i carry the Fat Shredder diet for longer than normal as long as my body is not tired/fatigued?

Specifically i wanted to do the Fat Shredder diet until Day 45, then go onto the Phase 2 diet for the next 45 days.

FIrst, great choice with P90X. That was my first program, and what made me fall in love with Beachbody.

As far as the phases, do what's right for you. As long as you feel like you aren't drained during your workouts, and you are keeping track of your weights and reps and they are still increasing, stay on that phase until day 45. At some point, you will start to regress with your numbers, and thats your body telling you that you need to switch phases and add in some carbs. Don't think by adding carbs the weight loss will slow, either. I actually had my most substantial weight loss during phase 3, when carbs are at the highest. You can push more through the workouts and burn more calories.

I want to thank you for your response. I figured i would just follow the diet plan closely as guided, but stick to phase 2 diet for the rest of P90x because i feel like i would need the energy
