Day 36 of P90x and no weight loss
Hey everyone,

I am on day 36 of the program and I have not seen any weight loss. I have lost an inch in my hips and waist but have gained an inch in both legs and arms. I am getting a bit discouraged and I do not see me reaching my fitness goal by June. Any suggestions?

Don't get discouraged. You have to remember that it took years to put on the weight and it'll take some effort to take it off. I know....not what you want to hear, right? Someone told me that during my first month when I was discouraged and it was light a light turned on. It put things in perspective for me.

Also remember that the scale only tells PART of the story. What I found helpful during my journey with p90x was comparing the pictures from month to month. That first month, I saw nothing. At the end of month two, I smiled. At day 90, I actually posted pictures of myself in a bikini on Facebook and for me, that's unheard of. I was so proud of what I had done that I wanted everyone and their brother to see.

Be patient. If you put the time and effort in...if you watch your calories...you WILL see results. Wait until the end of month 2 to make judgements about your results. From my experience, that's when most people see changes.

You CAN do this. Be patient...it'll come.

Stay off the scale! Weight doesn't matter. Be very honest about your eating. Follow the P90X Nutrition Guide or just use Michi's Ladder. It's on this website, or you can Google it. Remember, lean proteins, fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats. Did I mention fruits and vegetables and lots of them?

Also, remember during the resistance workouts to pick weights that make you struggle with good form on the last 3 reps, be as intense as you can during Plyo, get as deep as possible in every Yoga pose, and kick and punch like crazy during Kenpo. You will get the desired results.

As mentioned above, do not base your results on your scale. BAse your results on how you feel and how your clothes fit. I'm about to finish week 7 of P90X and have not stepped on a scale once, not even at the beginning. What has been found is the increase in energy, the ability to move better, feeling better, and having to buy new clothes every couple weeks.

Give it some time, and do not give up. Stay with it, and you will see and feel the results and rewards.

Honestly, the best results of p90x do not appear until the final 30 days. I really recommend patience emoticon
