Tai Cheng Function Test Question
I did the function test two days ago but have a question regarding scoring. I have pain, but the pain is not a result of or increased by doing any of the individuals tests. Do I still score myself a zero? Part of the reason I am doing this program is because I heard it can relieve some of my pain. I am also currently going to physical therapy and some of the pain is a result of the therapy she is doing to me (trigger points to tight muscles, so some of my muscles are very sore right now, also, the pain that I have in my lower back is an exacerbation and actually do not have it today). Should I wait a week until my muscles from trigger point therapy are feeling better and also since my lower back pain that was exacerbated is better today?

Thanks,
Tammy

Hi Tammy, I would maybe wait a few days and start the program. You want to listen to your body and dont push yourself too hard. If you feel the program is too much you can always modify and of the movements until you feel stronger.
Are you working with a coach? If not I'd love to help you. I have a few online challenge groups. Hope to talk to you soon!

Thanks Dena, I am starting week 6 tomorrow. I have been doing great. I am also starting week 3 of LMP. I do have a coach (and am actually in the process of awaiting my processing of my paperwork to also become a coach myself). But thank you. I am not in a challenge group for Tai Cheng, but not for LMP, do you have any running?

Hi Tammy,

Great to have you join the community. I think with any pain you should discuss with your doctor. Especially before starting a workout program. Have you discussed doing Tai Cheng along with your physical therapy? It is basically up to you as you know how you feel. Its a great program and has helped a lot of people. Please keep us posted. Happy to help with any questions!

Cheers,
Christina
