RE: Good luck!!!
shakeology slimming formula doubles
6/25/09 10:04 PM as a reply to jencan.
I'm gonna post real quick before I hit the hay.

Ladies, on doubles, you can do either Ramp It Up or Start It Up in the morning and RIU or SIU again in the evening. I know from experience that you ladies are gonna have a little trouble sitting on your booty's b'cause they're gonna be sore! But that's a good thang! Right? You will be better able to double up on RIU after you've done it two weeks. So, you could always do the express again at that time... you'll be adding a week to your total SI6 workout, but it's worth it.

We'll just rename it Slim in 7! emoticon

Regarding the Slimming Formula: In a nonclinical Beachbody® test group, those who used it along with their Beachbody program lost an average of 29% more body fat. Basically for every three pounds lost, those that took it lost an addtitional pound. Click here for ingredients and nutritional information.

I used it the whole time I first did SI6 and lost a total of 16 pounds in 6 weeks. And I went from a size 16/18 to a size 12! I just started taking it again, and I've got a phenomenal amount of energy... but, I'm also drinking Shakeology.

I'll check back in tomorrow kids. This girlie-girl needs ta get her beauty sleep! emoticon

thanks for your encouraging words.
i am not really dieting, but being more careful. and drinking more water.
if i continued this way, do i have a chance at weight loss?

I started on the 22nd as well. So far so good, but I must have missed the memo about only doing Start it Up for two days... I thought you had to do it the whole week. Woops. I'm new to the Team Beachbody "Club," so if anyone wants to be my buddy, you can add me. I could use the support. Even though (or maybe especially because) I'm a Marine, I like to be lazy sometimes, even when I know I need to not be. Good luck to everyone else. I'm working on losing about 30 extra pounds I've been carrying around my whole life. I'm sick of it and ready to lose it.

SHAYRAE............... You're probably right. I don't have the book in my hand. But SIU is so stinkin' easy and you got the gist of the warmup. BIG THANKS to you for all you do serving our country! My neice is in a Military Academy... and I think she's thinking'bout the Marine Corp. She hasn't been on the boards because of school. She goes by HannahUSMC, add her to your buddy too... and send her an invite. We're EST.

GUENEVERE............. I thought I'd share a couple of links to help your eating stay on track. I don't know if I would "wing it" on the diet. You should keep a food diary either on this website or notebook. LOL! There's muscle there... they're developing and getting stronger every day! emoticon Here are the links for all to share...

I'm doing great, but I'm mixing up my workouts with other programs right now. SI6 + Turbo Jam + Turbo Kick. Yesterday, I did one of BB's workouts called Turbo Jam Cardio Party (in the Maximum Results package) in memory of Michael Jackson. It has a remix of the Jackson 5 song, "Blame it on the Boogie." FUN!

Thanks, Krista!!! Did SIU, 6pack, and Slim & Limber yesterday after posting.

Thanks for letting me join your group & hope everyone is doing well!!!

The most success I had in years past was with P90, particularly the metabolism boost due to the lifting every other day & adding cardio like running (which I'm not in shape to do anymore). However, I never stuck to Si6 the full 6 weeks. So, here I am. I complained to my husband on 6/22..."just wish I had a personal coach, blah blah blah." Got on the message boards that night after not really having been on here in probably 3 years. It was really motivating & brought back the memories of past successes.

I won't have as much time to workout after school starts back, which is one of the reasons I originally chose P90X to do this summer. But, I really want to lose fat lbs & inches this summer, as quickly as possible, so looks like SI6 is the ticket!!!
Thanks again for letting me join your group & I can't wait for us to all meet our goals together!!! PS I won't write any more books

emoticon Have a great day!!! Trina

TRINA.............. Woot! Triple whammy! SI6 is the ticket if you're wanting to lose weight and inches... fast! Wait a little while on the P90X... it is NOT a weightloss program! Girrrl! You joined before BB created the Coach thang it has to offer now. Don't go coachless... contact Customer Service and get your very own personal Coach on Monday! I'd be glad to help you out. emoticon

My daughter and I started Slim in 6 two days ago. We are going to take it slower than most, since she has not exercized in a while. We plan to do "Start It Up" for a few more days before moving on to the next phase. We are also walking about 30 minutes in the morning. As far as eating goes, we are trying to hit mainly the top ladder foods and staying around 1200 calories, which, again, is not as drastic as others do to start out. But we're going for the long haul and are trying to make changes a little at a time. Good luck to all of us!!! Diana

DIANA.......... WELCOME! Take your time. This is your program. You can modify your moves as needed too. Listen to Debbie's cues for modifications. Michi's Ladder is awesome. I just started eating plantains... and I LOVE them!! Don't go too strict on your diet. I'm not sure about your stats but you may want a little more calories. Definitely DO NOT go below 1200 sweetie. emoticon Little changes is the best way to be successful over the long haul!

SHAYRAE........... Opt for the healthiest stuff you can find in the chow hall. And follow proper portion control... you might hafta do a little homework here. Remove all visible skin and fat. Wipe off oils, grease, or gravy. Avoid too much salt. Eat as many fruits and veggies as you can.

Can you afford to purchase yourself whey protein powder or meal replacement powder on an E3 income. They're under $40 bucks for 30 servings and you can mix them with water. P90X protein bars are a great deal for 12 servings.

Just wanted to say Welcome, shayraeholmes! I admire you already because being in the Marines, you must be great at pushups. I actually heard myself fussing out loud to the TV today when it was time for pushups emoticon. Complaining out loud to Debbie like she could really hear me! Glad you're back! I was wondering about you! Not as sore as I thought I'd be but I do notice it more during the workout. It feels good to be a little sore...enough to remember the goal, but not enough to be miserable emoticon.

I have to admit to you all that yesterday I didn't plan my day well & so didn't make time for SI6. I worked in a walk though between errands...which is good for me cuz I could have easily kept planning for later (which never would have happened). Today I did RIU in the morning and just finished SIU this evening. This morning I barely got thru RIU; almost vomited! About an hour later, I wanted to head to the local pub, eat junk, & drink...seriously!!! And I'm not really even a big drinker LOL just wanted nachos, pizza, spinach & artichoke dip-anything bad for you & knock it down with some alcohol! Isn't that awful? Instead, talked to my husband (who is in shape & never had a wt problem) and ate a turkey burger. Miracle to say that I've eaten pretty clean, exercised daily, & kept a food/exercise diary each day for 5 DAYS now. That's a major accomplishment for me!!! This is usually the point I taper off to nothing then start up again in a couple of weeks. Please keep up the encouragement. As cheesy as it sounds, it really helped me knowing that I would get back on here to post & knowing you all were here & facing the same (well at least similar if you weren't craving a pub LOL) challenge was a HUGE HELP!!!

Did Ramp it Up and Slim & Limber today. The butt section is the worst but the burn will be worth it. The triceps were hard, too, but worked through them thinking how my arms used to wave back at me & now they swing back so that got me thru LOL

Liz & Jen, I'm doing doubles, too. Haven't decided yet what workout to do this evening. Yesterday's P90X Cardio X was great but not sure if I can handle that today. Gonna check out the express diet this afternoon. Do you still have energy? I'm afraid if I get too tired, sore, and/or hungry, I'll lose momentum but it sounds good. Could you let me know how you feel on it?

You are right about the butt section and the burn! But...like Debbie points out at JUST the RIGHT moment...that means it's working! But, MAN does it burn! I admit...I did have to stop a few times...but I'm only on day 4, so i know that will get better.

As for the diet, yes, i still feel like I have plenty of energy. I've been making sure I eat every 3 hours or so...so, that helps. And, of course, staying within 1200 calories. I also have not had a diet coke, coffee or glass of wine (well, longer for the wine) since Sunday!! If you only knew what an accomplishment that is for me!! emoticon It was really not healthy...but, I literally lived on diet coke. I typically had at least 3 a day (that is on minimum) and NO WATER!! I know...but, I have been drinking so much water this week...that I honestly haven't even missed it!!
Thanks!! You go girl!!

Note to self: WASH THE MAKE-UP OFF BEFORE SWEATING!! How many days do I have to be on my hands and knees, with my booty BURNING, and have sweat running the make-up into my eyes before I do the sensible thing and WASH IT OFF before working out!!! I'm not sure which burns worse! emoticon

Beachbody used to really push the 40/30/30 (40% carbs, 30% each protein & fat)& that's been my goal this week at 1200-1600 cal/day depending on # of workouts. The 1st 4 days: 1259 cal (34/37/27), 1648 (45/34/18), 1309 (45/34/18), & 1227 (47/23/27). Still eating today emoticon. Not perfect but a good start. I use Fitday.com to log food but there are many better sites out there; I like it for the pie graph & stats right on the food entry screen.

I'll do the express diet with you when you start emoticon It will one day at a time for me, but I'll sure try! As far as vacation, it will be an added challenge but if you really plan & have the foods available it will be easier. You can do it... but if anything goes "wrong," don't give up, just pick up where you are, get back on track, & hang in there!

Liz, like the makeup thing LOL. They should have named RIU "Sweat it Out" or "Stink it Up" instead emoticon

Hope everybody is doing well!

Ok...this is going to sound like an excuse...and it IS, but, sometimes LIFE happens! We can make plans and have the best of intentions...but, sometimes (I feel) it is hard to keep to our plans of eating well...especially when your friends are not on the same plan! So...I think we are all there with you...trying to figure out how to make the best of those situations, and just keep encouraging each other to do better tomorrow!! emoticon And believe me...I would LOVE to have some nachos, pizza, spinach and artichoke dip all washed down with an Abita Beer!! HA!! Ok...now that I'm hungry again...

I'm still doing good on the workouts. Twice a day!! Soo...are we supposed to take a day off from working out?? I need to get my info out and read it again. If so, I think I'm going to make Sunday my day off. That will be day 7...so, that will work out well. Also, since I will be off of work this week and home...I'm going to try to keep getting two workouts in a day. But, if it doesn't happen...at least get Ramp it Up in at the very least. Then, I'll go back to one workout a day next week when I go back to work. Going to the beach on July 9 and i want to have lost some weight by then!! Ok...haven't weighed in since I started on the 22nd...so, I'm going to make my goal FIVE POUNDS LOST by the time I go to the beach...from my starting weight! That's three weeks...that shouldn't be too hard?

Ok...I'm going into novel mode...I will hush now. emoticon Hope you are all doing great!!
