Haven't changed my diet, but I seem to be hungry more often
I've been on a pretty consistent plan for about 4 months now, and it's been awesome. The last 2 weeks I guess though I seem to be getting hungry a lot more often. It's not every day, but it's most days.

I'm 26, 6'5, 189 pounds. Doing P90X2 and Asylum 1&2. I eat 2750-3000 calories a day. ~45% Carbs, ~30% Protein, ~ ~25% fat

I continue to see great improvements week over week in my workouts, and I'm getting stronger and all that. So when I've gotten hungry most of the time I've just handled it. Other times I'll down a handful of cashews/pistachios.

Aside from my workouts I've also been seeing pretty great progress in that stubborn lower belly fat, so I'm hesitant to eat more, but I know sometimes that's the key. What do you guys think? Just been a consistent change to be hungry more, which makes me think I need to change something...but I'm hesitant. hah.

How often are you eating?

I know that, for me personally, I developed the same issue over time, and what helped me immensely was eating fewer, larger meals instead of more frequent, smaller ones. I went from 3 meals/2 snacks to 3 large meals. It kept me fuller for a longer period of time and just works better for me. It also has zero negative affect on fat loss or metabolism (it's been proven by multiple studies).

Might be something to try.

Are you doing doubles of X2 and Asylum? Because that would explain a lot.

No doubles, I'm not that crazy =P haha. Just a hybrid.

And I have 3 larger meals with 2 snacks basically as my normal plan. So I might have to try and look into combining the snacks and see what happens like you did.

it could be your metabolism speeding up.......during lunch I am hungry for more and I was not use to that for 80 days......I'm thinking the working out consistently has sped it up for myself as well.

I understand why you might think that at first glance. I have to respectfully disagree though...Coach Shay is only working out 45-60 minutes per day, and at 189 lbs, I really don't think that's enough to put his maintenance level above 3,000 calories.

I think it's more likely a function of a macronutritional need that's not being fulfilled...but again, that's just my opinion and you could be correct.

My initial thought was now that I'm pretty honed in on what I've got going on that I'm missing something nutrient wise as well.

Sometimes a few pistachios or some other nut satisfies the hunger, other times it doesn't really curb it at all. Last night I was hungry and one small strawberry seemed to be enough to fend it off.
