Both my wife and I will be starting Insanity Monday July 20th.
We've watched a few of the videos and it looks like a killer workout!

I have completed P90X (2 Rounds) but havnt done a intense workout for about a
month emoticon. My wife has done Chalean Extreme and is ready for a new workout herself.

Whether you have started on 7/20 or today, feel free to join us. We are in this together!

Our group is growing, Join us in our Insanity Workout for a little motivation and support during these insane days.

Wish us luck.

Later,
Rob

I'm with ya! I've also done a couple rounds of P90X with some one-on-one's and plus videos thrown in to mix it up. I'm super-excited about Insanity! Did one of the sneak preview workouts that came with my one-on-one subscription and it definitely was a killer. My Insanity is supposed to arrive today so...Monday it is! Good luck to us!

you should be scared! it's the toughest thing i've ever tried. i collapsed half-way through the Fit Test. i felt like i was going to throw up, it was pretty bad. but i collected myself and finished it. my stats weren't too shabby. but i think i'm going to back off and do P90x again for now...

Trust me we are but we are willing to make a go at it. I've watched most of the dvds now, even the warmup looks killer! We'll see how we do this week, I will update ...

Count me in! I am in the same situation as Kris. Finished 2 rounds of the X, dabbled around in One On One's as I previewed Insanity via the preview disc. All set to start Monday. I have a dentist appt in the AM, then home to do the Fit Test.

Debating on whether to follow the Insanity rotation as instructed or do additonal workouts along with the Insanity rotation. I've been doing P90X doubles (P90X workout plus running daily) for almost a year plus I did the Insanity preview disc about 5 times. Guess we'll see how I feel and go from there.

Got all my supplements worked out (pre-workout drink, P90x recovery drink & protien drink), just have to take my "before" photos and then one final rest day to go before day one...time to "get fit or get out"!

Hi everyone, I am starting next week also and can't wait for the intensity....I love it.
I have done rounds of p90x, p90x+, chalean extreme and am ready for INSANITY. I am also a runner and I am competing in 5k's this summer so I am excited to see if this will help with my endurance and speed. I will still need to stay up on the running so we shall see how it goes. I look forward to getting to know you all!!

Bridgets, I've actually seen my running endurance increase by cutting back my running to 3 days a week and increasing my interval training (Plyo-X, Insanity Preview Disc, Interval X+). When training for races, I used to be 5 days a week runner (30-40 mpw). I've since cutback to 3 days running and 2 days intervals (this is in addition to whatever rotation I was on) and felt alot stronger in may last couple races (16,12 & 26 milers on trails). I'll be doing the same with the Insanity rotation (cutting back to 3 days running).

Something to think about as you start Insanity.

Dironstarr-Thank you for the advice. I also am only running about 3 days a week and one day is outside intervals or runervals on my treadmill if I need to. I was either doing P90x or Chalean Extreme with it and occaisionally replaced kenpo with running. Today was 6.5miles...that is nothing compared to your long runs. Time to make up a sheet for my training with Insanity, I don't want to mark up the calender he sent with the package. I also keep a yearly calender and write down everything I do each day....it is a great way to look back and see what you have done. Have a great day everyone.

Good Sunday Morning to you All!

Anyone else scared? LOL
Well, one more day of leisure before we all dive in.

Bridgets and Dironstarr...I used to do a lot of running as well (now most of my running is with a fully loaded double-jogger!) and noticed a huge difference after completing P90X in my speed and my ability to run up a hill pushing 70+ pounds! I'm curious to see how that goes after Insanity...

Ok..gonna do some last minute measurements and then Fit Test tomorrow!

Kris:

I am a liitle scared, I havent been working out regularly since my last P90X completed round ended in May. I was thinking Insanity was gonna be ready in June, so I have just been waiting for it. Glad it's finally here. We'll see how it goes tomorrow. I have all my measurements and we are good to go!

Took my "before" pics this AM. All set for the Fit Test tomorrow...finally Day One is upon us!

krisloock, I pushed a double stroller for a couple years too. Was very slow going but overall made me a stronger runner. This was way before my 2 rounds of P90X though. And I agree with your comments on P90X and running. I am a MUCH stronger runner from doing P90X (while maintaining my running base). I even convinced one of my running buddies to do a round of P90X (he started last week). Hopefully Insanity will take us all up another notch...

Hey everyone...who did their first workout today? I actually did my fit test over the weekend and today I did plyo circuit. I am going to repeat it tomorrow to get on track with everyone else. What can I say...I LOVED IT!!!! Was it challenging, yes, but I LOVED IT!!!! Can't wait to hear from everyone today.

I too was a runner with a stroller all the way up until they wouldn't fit in the stroller anymore. I just loved getting out with them in the morning and it also gave me some company. I kinda miss those days. Recovery drink time...see ya later.

Ok all..Fit Test DONE! Not too bad - I actually kept up pace better than I thought I would. Looking forward to plyo cardio circuit tomorrow (I've gone through it once already when the sneak preview video came out). Chat with ya soon!

I guess I really need to get my picture up, huh?!

Alright Day One in the books. Took my Fit Test around noon with the following results:
Switch Kicks - 78 (counting both feet)
Power Jacks - 51
Power Knees - 81
Power Jumps - 38
Globe Jumps - 9
Suicide Jumps - 15
Push-up Jacks - 20
Low Plank Obliques - 40 (counting both knees)

I wore my HR monitor and gave it a glance at the end of each exercise and saw it well above 170. No doubt I was breathing hard.

After that I dove right into Chest, Shoulders & Triceps from P90X. Tomorrow I got Martial Arts class and then right into Plyo Cardio Circuit. I'm kinda bummed I gotta do this workout already as I've done it about 5 times already from owning the preview disc but then again, it gives me something familiar to start off with. Wednesday will be the first real big test I think...

Hey everyone. I'm new (like many) to the forums but I've been doing P90X since last December. I'm just starting up on Insanity today and I thought I'd drop in on this thread. I made it through the Fit Test and judging from that, it's going to be an interesting 60 days.

HI everyone,
i did the fit test yesterday, and the plyo cardio circuit today, planning on having my off day saturdays, we'll see. It was tough, but I am glad some people in the videos take breaks! Thank you to Tony for P90X Interval +!
