How many calories do you burn on P90X
Hi there,

I am in my first week of P90x and am also keeping an online track of what I eat and the carb/protein/fat breakdown on the daily plate site. I would like to add in my calorie burn from my exercise but it isn't listed on the site (not surprising)so I was wondering if it is listed anywhere on the beachbody site or does anyone know?

Even a guideline will help. Any advice is welcome.

Calories burned will vary from workout to workout. But on average I think the guide book says about 600 per workout. I think it is a little high so I typically use 300-400 calories per workout.

600 is pretty accurate once you get used to the program. The people that monitor this frequently say they get up to 800 calories burned when they are at the top of their game, and on days where they are not their best they sometimes get as low as 400. BTW, if you are not able to finish the workouts yet do not cut calories to make up the difference. The more the workouts smack you around the more you need the calories to give you energy and to recover after.

How do you know how many calories you're burning though? Any if my workout is 56 minutes like with Kenpo X today but an hour and a half on other days, am I still burning 600 calories? Also does this differ for a man and a woman and is my current weight a contributing factor?
