Anyone else starting around then? Looking to get some online buddies going to help with motivation and ideas. I am 43, married with two young boys. Let myself get way out of shape about ten years ago and found out then I became diabetic. Need to be here for the kids so I need to get back to where I was... or better!

I'll be starting sometime around then. Waiting for my shipment to come in. Im 27 about 5'8" --225#s lbs Im wanting to get to about 190#s. I also have two children and want to improve the health of myself and my family. I will start with you, but may be a day or two behind you.

I am one week ahead of you and i can tell you that you have something to look forward to. If you're not very active now, you'll be sore, but keep pushing through it! The hardest part for me will be eating right and that's the key to the program. I wish you luck. Let's push one another.

I'm in! I will also be starting 8/10/. I'm 23, 5'8 and 180lbs. I've just let myself go after being laid off my job. I've just been collecting my unemployment and doing NOTHING but sitting on my but playing World of Warcraft. LOL.

Hey TK,
I started today, I am 5'9" and weigh in at 160. I woeked out all the time until my two boys were born. I didn't realize how out of shape I was unitl i started P90x about a week ago. I am starting a disciplined regiment this week. I need to kep up with my guys and be around as well. I am in too.

I just started this morning as well. I am doing the Lean program to help with cardio to go along with running. I really liked it and it went by really fast which is good. I was full this morning after eating a mushroom omlet, turkey bacon and cottage cheese. Looking forward to seeing the results!

Good Morning!

I am goint to start and abbreviated version shortly....why you ask? I am crutches but figure if I can do something, anything to keep my shape or even improve a little bit life will be easier when I can use my own left foot again....Will be doing the stretching and some of the other dvd's to start, won't be doing anything that requires me to jump or place weight on my left foot (although I can stand). Should be interesting...I am in if you don't mind me following your journey!

Yay, perfect timing! I too am starting p90x today, the 10th. 35 year old female here. Lean - w/ a little modification. I'll replace kenpo w/ Kenpo Plus, etc. Throughout the last several years i've done the program a couple of times w/ decent success - i.e. lost the 10 pounds i wanted to lose, but was drinking and my diet wasn't ideal, negating some of the results. This time around I'll be trying to stick to the nutrition guidelines - looking to tighten and tone and lose a little bit of fat. Woohoo - success to all of you!

You are my hero lol! Do what you can and I hope you heal soon.

I did my first workouts today, and wow I am more out of shape than I thought, I was lucky to make it through the dvds, but did not do as much as I thought I would.. emoticon Oh well, that is why I am here. I hope all of you do well and I will add you as buddies. How did everyone else do?

Btw, I am doing classic, and the diet will be interesting, I am willing to put the work into it, but it is so different from my pizza, fast food, and gravy smothered foods heh.

Today was Day 2, Cardio X. I liked it. It was short but it was tough. I have been dripping sweat when I get done, although I sweat a lot when I run too. I really feel like this will help me become stronger as far as my running goes, which is why I am doing it. I wasn't hungry at all yesterday and I have drank plenty of water. How is everyone else doing?

Day 1 is down. Just about to start Day 2 with Plyometrics.
Man are is my chest and arm area sore. All those push-ups killed me! My number I went for was 10 of everything. I think I'll stick to that this week and move it up 2-5 more reps next week and then so on..
A good tip... I did that Hydroxycut 7-Day Cleanse before starting this to rid my body of any old matter. Let me tell you, I don't feel bloated and heavy anymore. A must try!

I got my chin up bar today wooohoooo...I am ready to kick this pig! Just have to stay away from the kenpo and anything that will put pressure on left foot and I am good to go. May have to skip a few things but until I go back to the doc gonna take it easy on the foot! lol....I have been out of commission for three months just about...took up swimming but that doesn't seem to be doing the trick....let's see what the P90X has for me...lol Back to the doc on the 25th to see if this foot is healed....wish me luck!! Keep up the good work all....hope to post some pictures in the next week or so....just warning ya, it isn't going to be pretty....went from running half marathons to basically nothing so you are forewarned! Greetings - My wife and I are starting today.. We have done a few weeks here and there but never seemed to get to day 90... We are going to do it this time. Both of us are post college athletes and now I am super fat and my wife just needs to get back in shape..

Knocked out Chest and Back at 5:30 this am - that is a start.

I am 43 yr old. 5'8" 180 lbs. We just sent our son off to marine boot camp and I want to get into shape while he's gone. I just got the DVDs and plan to start tonight (8/11/09). This is a great plan - now let's work the plan!

Well,

I'm glad I finally found the forums. I'm going to be 2 days behind, but did the fit-test tonight, and will be starting as if I started on Monday. So basically I will be starting tomorrow with P90x Classic and beginning with the shoulder/arms & ab ripper routines... Ouch... So I can get in sync with all of you guys. Anyone doing the Classic version feel free to add me!!

TK, My wife and I started on 08-01-09. We are on week 2 day 5 tomorrow! Yoga sucks!!! It is very very hard if your not flexible..........like me!!! My wife does not need to lose much weight, she needs to tone more than anything. I and hoping to lose some serious weight, (5'5" 195) although have not lost much yet. Most of the days are tough but each workout I get a little better. I turned 40 this year and just need to get back into shape. I am doing the classic and she is doing the lean. We are trying to follow the nutrition plan but it is tough. Keep pushing play and be prepared to be sore. And that is a good sore!!!! Good Luck and keep going!!! I know that my body did not get like this overnight and will not go away overnight. Hopefully 90 days will have results.

Ok, Day 2 down. Poly was haaaard heh. Lucky my legs are the best part of me, but it kicked my butt too. Tomorrow I will be paying the price heh. Diet is of course the hardest part, but stuck to it for two days lol. One day at a time! Besides we can do anything for 30 seconds.
