I began my 90 day transformation yesterday and would love to have others join me on this journey! I'm not one to post multiple times throughtout the day, but I will check in at least a couple of times every day/other day and share progress, goals and the like with others.

My goal is to tone up. I am very active in outdoor sports like whatewater kayaking, mountain biking and road cycling, but I need more focused toning and I am positive that CE will help me reach my goals.....

Who wants to join me??

I did Burn Circuit 2 this morning and can definitely go heavier on the weights. I am a bit sore from Monday and today, but plan on being much more sore when my adjustable weights are delivered to my house today emoticon
I tried the resistance bands, but just felt like the weights were better suited for me and I only have 5 and 10 lb dumbbells until I get home...
Did you rest yesterday or do any additional cardio? I mowed my yard after work, and believe me, that counts as cardio as far as I'm concerned!
I also made the tomato goat cheese omlette this morning from the recipe book that came with the set. It was way better than my typical instant oatmeal packet in the morning!

MaryTere, I read another post that said you just completed some of Si6.....
Years ago I completed Power 90 and bought Slim in 6 soon thereafter. I've had great results over that past 7 years or so with Si6 (even as recent as last fall), but just completed 4 weeks of the Burn it Up video and wasn't seeing the same results that I always had seen in the past. I wasn't sore even in the beginning. Perhaps my body just got too used to the workout? So, here I am at CE. And I WILL see results with this program!

I am 32 years old, live in TN with my 2 dogs, and love to be outside! I work full time (actually overtime these days since I have 2 jobs at my company)...no complaints though, considering many are struggling with finding work right now. Most importantly, I have a wonderful boyfriend who is very supportive of my workout "obsession".

I took my before pics and measurements but haven't posted either yet...

Well, enough rambling. Lunch is over-back to work emoticon

Hi Everyone!

I'm Angie and I just received my ChaLean Extreme set this week! Can I still join your group? Today I printed off the training worksheets! emoticon I can't wait to start tomorrow morning with Burn Circuit #1! Hopefully I won't be too far behind everyone.

What is the order for the other workouts? I understand the 30 day plan behind each of the weight training programs, but when do I do Burn It Off, Burn Intervals and Recharge? Is there a particular format?

As for me, I did Burn Intervals and Ab Burner this morning at 5 am and Chalene kicked my a$$!!!! I was doing moves that have hurt me like never before (in a good way!) My glutes and legs are really feeling it and that's what I'm looking for!! And that girl, Toni, on BI that's had 7 kids.....WHAAAAAAAA?????? If she can look like that, then I have ZERO excuses since I have no kids.

MaryTere, are you out there?? Have you done Burn Intervals yet? Just curious as to whether it treated you like it did me....

Hi talamasca and others aspiring for a higher level of fitness,

I started CE on the 18th and am not nearly as sore as I'd anticipated. I plan to continue pushing play though in my quest to overcome my initial lack of feeling impressed by this program. I've had good results with Slim in 6, TurboJam and the Firm in the past and I'm hoping to match or surpass my old achievements. Unfortunately I was never able to maintain my weightloss but I'm still strivin;-)

Got a session of Burn Intervals and Ab Burner in this morning. I sweated like a pig and was absolutely worn out by these exercises, had to start at junior level despite the fact that I've been working out for years before I let myself get this far overweight.

It felt really good to sweat like that though and feel that pure exhaustion. I know that by next week there will be a part that I've conquered which had wiped me out this week. As the weeks progress this thing will become easier and easier - I'm looking forward to the journey and the destination emoticon

I wasn't as sore as I thought I'd be after my 1st workout this week, but I sure am now! We have to remember that any workout is only as good as you make it.

I did Burn Circuit 3 this morning and really lifted heavy! I can feel the pure exhaustion that you felt too! It feels so good to be this sore, because you know you're working on areas that need it!
I have done many rounds of Si6 and just did 4 weeks of it before CE and wasn't getting the results I usually have in the past....I think my body was too used to it and so here I am. I can't wait to see the results as well, but I'm also enjoying the journey every step of the way emoticon

Did you take your measurements before you started? I'm looking forward to checking them on day 30 to see if there is any difference (I know there will be)and if so, how much.

Hello All,

I too just started CX on Monday the 17th. This morning was BC3 and extreme abs....I hear you Christa when you say pure exhaustion.....how much are you lifting? I have been doing wo's for almost a year, I started out with P90X, then SI6 and then went to Turbo Jam....which I absolutely love, love, love and had great results with. I decided that I would like another challenge...a new one so I picked CX because I love Chalene, I think that she is fabulous.

Just to give everyone a little background on my self, I am 33 and I have two children and a very loving....and patient...husband. I grew up in pretty good shape but once I had children and a divorce behind me....I was no longer in good shape. My scales tipped at around 190 lbs at the top. I have yo-yoed up and down for the last few years and once I started BB wo's last October, the scale has been doing nothing but going down...Yeah for BB. I am now at 133 lbs, not really looking to get too much lower but I really need to tighten up what is left from years of neglect. I have also started running and I am trying to train for a run in October and I have also heard that CX is great for getting runners in shape......so we shall see.

So if you are up for it, I would to join your group. I am interested in your forum for the size of it...the big ones that have thousands of posts scare me!! LOL!!

Hey Roni! So glad to have you join us!

As this is my first week, I'm still figuring out what weights to use and notating if I need to stay there or go higher next week. On most of the exercises, I need to go higher!!

I'm not much of a runner, but one heck of a kayaker and biker! Good luck with your upcoming race. I've also read that CE will help you running, strength and endurance. After doing Burn Intervals consistently, how can it not??

Back to weights: my heaviest so far has been 16 in each hand for the lower body stuff, but I will go to 20 lbs next week to either reach failure or be a lot closer to it!

I agree-some of the forums get so big, so I'm glad we have a small(er) group so far. If it grows, then that'll be cool too!

I hope it's not too late to join you. I'm been reading a lot of message threads and having a hard time diving into one. There are so many of them my head begins to swim. So here I go.I'm ready to join a group and get motivated to WO again. I did CX Burn phase earlier this year in May, but that is as far as I got, and I've been off and on since then. I really would like to complete the 90 days this time. I know the beachbody products work as long as I'm working out to them. I'm been a beachbody customer since 2002. I started with P90. I have also done SI6, and Turbo Jam. I love Turbo Jam and Chalene's energy which is why I purchased CX. I still love Tony too. Anyhow, I woke up too late this morning to WO so I'm planning to start CE tomorrow, Sat Aug 22nd.

Hey Christa, I am glad that you will have me. It is nice when you find one that will work for you.

That is not too shabby for amount of weight. I am up to 20 lbs, for the lower body but my shoulders are really weak so I have to go pretty light for those.

Rose, that is the exact same reason why I got CX as well.....I absolutely love Chalene and TJ but I wanted something a little more challenging and I am glad I went this way. Should be interesting......and......you are more than welcome to come on this journey with us...well, this coming from another newbie..LOL!!

Thanks for welcoming me and allowing me to join your group/ like Roni, I don’t care for the larger groups – you just tend to get lost in the shuffle/mix! I want to feel comfortable with the people I’m sharing my workout struggles with! emoticon

Christa, thanks for the workout schedule. I almost did Burn Intervals the next day but started having issues with my DVD player. So I ended up wasting more time than necessary trying to “fix” it before I realized I should just whip out the laptop and press PLAY!


I’ll be away this weekend, but will still get in some workouts –tonight, ices kating, tomorrow treadmill in the hotel gym or walking on the bridge. Sunday I’ll be back on track with Burn Circuit 2. So I’ll be more than just a few days behind.

Okay, here’s my brief bio – I’m 44, 5’3”, 132 pounds with three older children. So I have the time both mornings and evenings to do whatever workout I want. I also do water aerobics on Tuesdays and Thursdays, ice skating Friday night and Saturday morning and once the rink opens again on Sundays, I’ll be there in the afternoons to practice. I’d like to get back down to 120 lbs but I’m considering aiming for 115. I know ChaLean can help me with this. I’ve gotten the weight off before – just last fall when I had two big weddings to attend but I think my new meds are keeping the pounds on. Before I used a mix of Firm Tough Tape, running on the treadmill, the elliptical, yoga and Pilates. CE - is my new plan!

Now time to print out 3 months of the calendar so that I can write down the workout schedule. I printed off the training log the other day!

Hi Everyone! I'm hoping to join you in your CE adventure! I am starting tomorrow, Sat Aug 22!!!! I completed 3/4 of P90x with my husband this winter, but I have exercise ADD and need to mix things up. My hubby, however is a devoted Tony guy and is doing the P90XPlus while also running 30-40 miles a week. Me...I'm easily talked out of working out and into a nap!! Also, haven't been motivated much with the kids home this summer.

I'm a 34 year old mother of 4, ages 9,8,4 and 3 in Indiana. I'm 5'2" and 145 pounds, looking to be 130, but wouldn't mind being less than that even, but that is a pretty comfortable weight for me. I've had success and feel so much better when my diet is low in carbs, that is my magic ticket as I am very sensitive to blood sugar changes. I love how Chalene's diet has a low carb focus as well. I'm excited to get started tomorrow...will do measurements, the learning dvd and then the burn phase I.

Can't wait to get to know everyone!

Christa, thanks for the warm welcome!

No, I haven't taken my measurements. I think there is still an element of fear in me that I might not succeed, so I don't want to get all hyped up by taking my measurements with the possibility that they won't change much. I'd rather just be pleasantly reminded of my progress by the loosening fit of my clothes on me over time.

As for my background, I'm 40 years old with 2 children and a history of pendulum weight fluctuations but hopes of finally having a permanent weight loss.

Wow! What a great Saturday morning! I just finished Burn it Off and Recharge to complete my first full week of Burn! When I logged on I was stoked to see that some others have joined our group and we're all within a week of one another's start dates, so we can keep each other motivated, accountable and have some fun along the way....

Rose~ Welcome to our group! It's def not too late to join us. Did you complete the entire 4 weeks of Burn in May? Did you see results at that time? I'm just curious as to what to expect for myself at the end of the 30 days....

Hey Roni! I think you and I are on the exact same schedule...keep working on your upper body and you'll be able to lift more before you know it! I didn't have much upper body strength until I began kayaking and guiding rafts on the Ocoee River and that really developed my upper body. Now that I have a "real" job, I have to work much harder to stay in the same shape I was while guiding 10 hrs a day 5 days a week...I'd have to workout full time to emulate that workout! Did you like Burn it Off better than Burn Intervals today??

Angie~ Sounds like you have a busy but fun weekend planned with lots of activities! Where do you ice skate in August? I'd like to be maybe 140 (currently 155), but at my leanest and meanest I was 155 lbs back in my 20's, so I may not ever be 140 or even look healthy at that weight...we shall see.

Rockermama4~ We're glad to have you join us on this little trip! Your husband has the workout bug, huh! Wow....I know guys love Tony, but he was pretty bland for me. I like Chalene. She is motivating without being too over the top. She makes comments throughout the WO's and I swear she is talking to me! Does she have a camera in my living room?? Congrats on starting CE and managing a household with 4 kids! Rock on with your bad self emoticon

SS~ I've never had the guts to measure while doing P90 or Si6 and also went by the fit of my clothes, but I bit the bullet and did it this time around since CE is such a different kind of workout...you'll know when it starts to work!

Sorry this has been so long! I hope everyone has a great weekend...and I'll be ready at 5 am on Monday to do Circuit 1 and go HEAVY emoticon

I'm new here and started CE on august 12. I did burn intervals and ab burner last night for the second time and still can't believe how hard it is!!

I'm going to take before pictures today and post them if I'm not alone emoticon

WOW!! This forum just popped with attendees.....this is GREAT!! I am terribly excited to get to know everyone here and watch our results. I just want to say to everyone......"TAKE YOUR MEASUREMENTS"....it is soooo important. When I started last October I didn't want to take pics or measurements....I knew I would hate them. But am I ever glad I did because I can look back now and see the changes not only in my clothes but in the pictures and on the paper.....it is a great motivator and it reminds me how far I have come and WHY...oh WHY....I NEVER EVER want to go back.

For my accountability today I got up and did a run....almost 7 km (which for you americans is 4.1 miles)...yes I am a canadian girl emoticon...and i did burn it off and recharge. I am loving this wo, Chalene is great and the wo's are such a challenge.....Christa what did you think of the screamers?? I was screaming!!! LOL!!

So let's take roll call here!! We now have MaryTere, Christa, Rose, Angie, Rockermama, StillStrivin, Cinderella 12 and myself.....is there anyone else I missed?? I sure hope not!! If I did, I am sorry and please correct me. This is going to be a ton of fun!!
